Vice President, Asset Management

The Vice President - Asset Management is responsible for supporting the strategic, financial, and operational performance of a diversified retail real estate portfolio, including operational shopping centers and under-development assets.

This role will drive asset-level value creation through active portfolio management, performance monitoring, and cross-functional collaboration. The VP will work closely with senior leadership, including the Head of Asset Management / CIO, CFO, and other department heads, to translate portfolio strategy into actionable business plans and ensure execution discipline across assets.

You will collaborate cross-functionally with leasing, property operations, development, and finance teams, while also supporting investor engagement through performance reporting and asset strategy inputs. The role serves as a critical link between financial performance tracking and asset-level decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

- Support the development and execution of portfolio-level business plans, including annual budgeting and periodic reforecasting, in collaboration with Leasing, Operations, and Finance teams.

- Monitor asset and portfolio performance against underwriting assumptions, tracking key metrics such as IRR and equity multiples, and identifying opportunities for value enhancement.

- Prepare and deliver periodic performance reports, dashboards, and insights for senior leadership and investors; support quarterly asset review processes.

- Partner with Finance and Accounting teams to ensure accuracy of financial reporting (P&L, capex, variances) and enable data-driven decision-making.

- Assist in ensuring compliance with co-investment agreements and governance frameworks, including preparation of materials required for approvals in special situations.

- Support valuation processes by coordinating with internal stakeholders and external appraisal firms for quarterly and annual asset valuations.

- Contribute to asset disposition processes, including assisting in broker selection, marketing strategy, and transaction execution.

- Support management of joint venture relationships by tracking partner performance, milestones, and alignment with portfolio objectives.

- Collaborate in building and refining asset management and valuation models to support scenario planning, performance tracking, and forecasting.

- Work closely with research and strategy teams to evaluate market trends, identify target markets/submarkets, and support acquisition/disposition strategies.

- Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a high-performance and collaborative team environment.
