About the Role:

We are hiring a Vice President - AI for a rapidly growing healthcare startup. This is a hands-on leadership role for an experienced AI professional who can define the AI roadmap, architect intelligent products, and actively contribute to implementation while building high-performing engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:

- Define and execute the organization's AI strategy and roadmap.

- Architect, design, and deploy AI-powered products and platforms.

- Lead end-to-end development of Generative AI and LLM-based applications.

- Build scalable AI services using Python and FastAPI.

- Drive AI innovation across product and engineering teams.

- Establish engineering best practices, architecture standards, and technical governance.

- Mentor AI engineers and foster technical excellence.

- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Business stakeholders to deliver impactful AI solutions.

- Evaluate emerging AI technologies and identify opportunities for adoption.

Required Skills & Experience:

- Strong expertise in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Large Language Models (LLMs).

- Advanced proficiency in Python and FastAPI.

- Proven experience building and deploying AI-powered production systems.

- Strong understanding of AI architecture, scalable backend systems, and cloud deployment.

- Experience leading AI initiatives within startup environments.

- Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on technical contributions.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Healthcare AI experience is an advantage.

- Experience with RAG, AI Agents, Vector Databases, and MLOps.

- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
