Vice President - Approval & Compliance - Real Estate/Property Development

Role: VP - Approvals & Compliance (Real Estate / Property Development)

1. Role Explanation (What this person actually does)

This is a senior leadership role responsible for ensuring that all regulatory approvals, statutory compliances, and documentation for real estate projects are completed smoothly and on time.

Core Responsibilities :

A. Approvals & Regulatory Management ;

- Handle end-to-end approvals from government authorities

- Ensure licenses, permits, and renewals are obtained before deadlines

- Track compliance across entire project lifecycle

B. Stakeholder Management :

Coordinate with :

Internal teams (projects, legal, finance, operations)

- External stakeholders (government bodies, consultants, vendors)

- Act as the central point of coordination for approvals

C. Compliance & Documentation :

- Maintain statutory records and documentation

Ensure adherence to:

- Local laws

- Regulatory frameworks

- Labor compliance requirements

Coordinate with :

C. Compliance & Documentation

D. MIS & Reporting :

Create and manage :

- Compliance trackers

- Approval status dashboards

- Weekly/monthly reports for leadership

- Vendor & Consultant Management

Manage :

- Consultants for approvals

- Vendor payments and billing coordination

- Ensure inspections, documentation, and payments are timely

F. Financial & Statutory Coordination

- Work with finance teams on:

- Statutory payments

- Challans

- Billing approvals

G. Leadership :

- Lead approvals/compliance team

- Ensure timelines are met and risks are mitigated

2. Ideal Candidate Profile

Background : Real Estate / Property Development (Commercial preferred)

Exposure to :

IT Parks / Office Assets / Large developments

Strong knowledge of :

- Government approval processes

- Statutory compliance (labour, environmental, municipal, etc.)
