Vice President Application Support Job Description : We are looking for a highly experienced and dynamic professional for the role of Vice President - Application Support. This is a Techno-Functional leadership role requiring a deep understanding of Retail Banking processes, along with the ability to lead large teams and manage mission-critical banking applications. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and manage a team of 35 professionals in the Application Support function. - Collaborate closely with the CTO and senior leadership on strategic technology initiatives. - Act as the key liaison between business and technology teams, ensuring seamless communication and issue resolution. - Own the end-to-end lifecycle of banking applications, especially those related to Retail Banking and Lending. - Drive operational excellence in application performance, availability, incident management, and continuous improvement. - Provide strong governance over vendor-managed applications and ensure SLAs are met. - Participate in budgeting, planning, and resource management for the application support function. - Ensure compliance with internal controls, IT policies, regulatory requirements, and audit guidelines. - Manage stakeholder expectations and maintain strong relationships across business units, operations, and external vendors. Required Skills & Experience: - Experience: 15-18 years of overall experience with at least 5+ years in a leadership role in application support or technology operations in the Banking, Small Finance Bank, or NBFC sectors. - Domain Expertise: Strong knowledge of Retail Banking, Lending processes, and customer lifecycle management. - Tech Acumen: Solid understanding of core banking applications, middleware, databases, and infrastructure; while not required to be a developer, must be technologically astute. - Project Management: Proven experience in delivering large-scale application support or transformation initiatives using structured project management methodologies. - Customer Focus: Strong stakeholder and customer relationship management skills; ability to engage with business leaders and manage expectations effectively. - Team Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead large, diverse teams and mentor talent across levels.
