The Vice Chancellor will provide strategic leadership and governance to the university, ensuring its position as a global leader in education and research.
The candidate will collaborate closely with faculty, staff, students, alumni, and other stakeholders to promote academic rigor, inclusivity, and sustainability.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Define and implement the universitys vision, mission, and strategic goals.
- Foster excellence in teaching, research, and community engagement.
- Strengthen the universitys national and international reputation.
Academic Excellence:
- Oversee the development and implementation of innovative academic programs.
- Promote interdisciplinary research and collaboration across departments.
- Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and regulatory requirements.
Operational Management:
- Effectively manage the universitys financial, human, and infrastructural resources.
- Oversee the recruitment, retention, and development of top-tier faculty and staff.
- Establish policies and frameworks for efficient governance.
Student Development:
- Create an enriching environment that supports student learning and well-being.
- Enhance opportunities for student engagement, career development, and global exposure.
External Relations:
- Cultivate strong relationships with government agencies, industry leaders, academic institutions, and alumni.
- Secure funding through partnerships, grants, and philanthropic initiatives.
- Serve as the universitys ambassador to external stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience:
Educational Requirements:
- A distinguished academic record with a Doctorate (Ph.
- A proven track record of scholarly achievements, including publications, research, and teaching.
Experience:
- A minimum of 15 years of academic experience, including leadership roles such as Dean, Director, or Pro Vice Chancellor.
- Extensive experience in strategic planning, financial management, and governance in higher education.
- Demonstrated success in fostering diversity, inclusion, and innovation.
Skills and Attributes:
- Visionary leadership with the ability to inspire and unite diverse stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A deep understanding of the evolving landscape of higher education, both globally and in India.
