Job Overview:

The Deputy General Manager - Information Technology (Software Development Manager) will lead and oversee software and hosting aspects of digital technology development and provide technical leadership across the IT functions. This role also involves strategically managing IT architecture to ensure cost-effectiveness while maintaining high service standards.

Information Technology Operations Management:

- Provide technical leadership for the digital technology team, including full stack design, technical operating model, cloud and on prem hosting and deployment architecture.

- Ensure scalable technology design standards through effective collaboration with stakeholders and monitoring of the dev sec ops pipeline.

- Manage client and stakeholder relationships, both internally and externally, fostering clear communication and alignment.

- Provide Technical Presales Support for RFx and Bids.

Project and Vendor Management:

- Lead IT technology partners and vendors to meet business initiatives, ensuring optimal time, cost, and resource allocation.

- Communicate issues to stakeholders promptly to manage expectations and mitigate risks.

- Manage all stakeholder relationships, including SLA compliance and effective vendor engagement.

- Prepare, track, and manage digital technology budgets.

Governance, Innovation, and Documentation:

- Implement and enforce technical architecture governance policies to ensure compliance and operational excellence.

- Identify key issues and develop tailored solutions to drive efficiency and effectiveness.

- Document application deployments and share key learnings with vendors and end-users to support continuous improvement.

- Contribute to product development initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs.

- Promote judicious use of natural resources.

- Adhere to the organisation's environment, health, and safety policies, objectives, and guidelines.

Anti Bribery Management Systems (ABMS):

- Follow the ABMS roles and responsibilities details as prescribed on the ABMS manual.

1. Understanding of ethical standards and the importance of integrity in business practices.

2. Ability to identify and evaluate risks related to bribery in various business contexts.

Education:

- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer engineering, IT, Information Systems, or related field OR equivalent certification.

- Masters degree preferred.

Experience:

- 12+ years of progressive experience in Digital Technology.

- Strong programming experience, preferably in React, Angular and Rust, Go or NodeJS (5+ years).

- Familiarity with Digital Online Technology and mobile applications.

- Demonstrated ability to analyze business requirements and develop effective technology solutions.
