Manager - Compliance Specialist
Experience: 10+ Years.
Location Mumbai.
What You Will Do:
India Statutory Compliance:
- Oversee- timely- and- accurate- GST, TDS, and Income Tax filings, including associated payments.
- Ensure organizational compliance with labor laws (PF, ESI, Professional Tax, Gratuity, Shops & Establishments).
- Lead statutory assessments, audits, and representations with government authorities.
- Supervise preparation and filing of ROC-related documents (annual and event-based filings).
- Direct quarterly and annual internal audits and statutory audits.
- Apply working knowledge of Ind-AS in financial and compliance processes.
US Statutory Compliance:
- Manage statutory corporate filings including W-9, Forms 1120/1120-S, and federal, state, and city tax submissions.
- Coordinate annual and biennial report filings with relevant US authorities.
- Ensure adherence to US federal and- state- tax and reporting requirements.
- Liaise with US legal, tax, and accounting teams to support audits, reviews, and regulatory submissions.
General Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and oversee a comprehensive compliance calendar for India and US statutory requirements.
- Ensure- accurate- documentation and records to support internal and external audits.
- Monitor regulatory changes across- jurisdictions- and recommend updates to internal processes and controls.
- Lead cross-functional coordination to ensure- compliance- readiness and- timely- closure of audits.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to- compliance- team members, ensuring knowledge transfer and process consistency.
Requirements:
- Strong technical- expertise- in Indian and US statutory and tax compliance frameworks.
- Hands-on- proficiency- with statutory portals (GSTN, Income Tax Portal, MCA Portal, IRS, and state filing systems).
- Working knowledge of ERP and payroll platforms (Oracle, Tally, Zoho).
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- 10+ years of experience in statutory compliance, taxation, and regulatory filings (India focus with US exposure).
- Practical exposure to US federal, state, and city tax compliance, including forms W-9, 1120, and 1120-S.
- Demonstrated experience managing GST, TDS, Income Tax, ROC filings, and labor law compliance.
- Prior- leadership in internal audits, statutory audits, and coordination with auditors or government authorities.
- Experience in multinational, shared services, or cross-border compliance environments is highly desirable.
- Ability to lead compliance operations, mentor junior staff, and drive process improvements.
