Role: Vertical Head - Energy, Renewables & Sustainable Infrastructure

Reporting To: Business Unit Head

Work Location: Bengaluru / Pune / Chennai

Experience: 18 - 25 years

Role Purpose:

Lead confidential company's (Prestigious and Large Indian Engineering Services Company) Energy business with full ownership of Revenue, P&L, Strategy, Customer Growth, Delivery Excellence, and Capability Development. Build and scale a high-growth business focused on Renewable Energy, Utilities, Energy Products, Microgrids, AI & Digital Solutions, Industrial Automation, and Sustainable Infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

Business & P&L Leadership:

- Own the Energy Vertical's revenue, profitability, bookings, and growth targets.

- Define and execute the 3 - 5 year business strategy and growth roadmap.

- Drive strategic account expansion, new logo acquisition, and large deal wins.

- Establish partnerships, alliances, and inorganic growth opportunities.

Market Development:

Expand Company's presence across few of the below:

- Renewable Energy (Solar, Wind, BESS, Hydrogen)

- Utilities & Grid Modernization

- Microgrids & Energy Management

- AI Data Centers & Power Infrastructure

- Industrial Automation & Electrification

- Energy Products & Equipment OEMs

Customer & Market Development:

- Build executive-level relationships with global customers and ecosystem partners.

- Develop differentiated offerings in:

1. Product & Platform Engineering

2. Embedded & Power Electronics

3. Industrial IoT & Automation

4. AI, Analytics & Digital Twins

5. Smart Grid & Energy Software Platforms

6. Sustainability & Decarbonization Solutions

Delivery & Organization Building:

- Ensure successful delivery, customer satisfaction, and margin performance.

- Build and scale global engineering, consulting, and delivery teams.

- Drive talent development, innovation, reusable IP creation, and operational excellence.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering; MBA preferred.

- 20 - 25 years of industry experience, with at least 10 - 15 years in Energy, Utilities, Renewables, Industrial Automation, or Energy Technology sectors.

- Proven experience setting up & leading US$50M+ revenue business/P&L with accountability for growth, profitability, and customer success.

- Demonstrated track record of scaling businesses, winning large strategic deals, and managing global customer relationships.

- Experience in ER&D, Digital Engineering Services, Product Engineering, or Technology Consulting organizations preferred.

- Strong understanding of Energy Transition, Renewable Technologies, Grid Modernization, Industrial Automation, AI, Digital Platforms, and Sustainability solutions.
