Our product range includes visi coolers, chest freezers, customizable cold rooms, refrigeration cabinets, tables, machines, ovens and many other equipment, serving HORECA, retail, food processing and industrial clients. We are expanding aggressively into international markets, including India, to capture the growing demand for high-quality, reliable commercial refrigeration solutions.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented General Director to lead our Indian subsidiary in Delhi. This pivotal role will drive POLAIR's market entry strategy, build a high-performance sales funnel, analyze competitors, and establish a sustainable presence in India's growing commercial refrigeration sector. The ideal candidate combines deep knowledge of the Indian commercial refrigeration equipment market with proven experience in B2B sales of commercial equipment, regulatory navigation, and cross-cultural leadership.

Key Requirements:

- Fluency in English and Hindi; knowledge of regional languages (e.g., Tamil, Bengali) is advantageous.

- 10+ years in B2B sales and leadership in commercial refrigeration/heating equipment for HORECA and retail.

- Expertise in managing large corporate clients, retail chains, dealers, project firms, and installation/service subcontractors in HORECA and retail industries.

- Deep market knowledge of India's commercial refrigeration/heating sector, key customers, brands, competitors, technical specs, installation, and maintenance processes.

- Strong skills in client equipment selection, techno-commercial proposals, negotiations, contract closure, and team leadership.

- Willingness for nationwide travel; advanced degree (technical/business); proficient in PC tools (CRM, MS Office, ERP systems).

- Established network of relevant contacts of distributors, dealers and end customers (HORECA and retail chains) in the Indian market is a strong advantage.

Core Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute a comprehensive market entry strategy and sales plan for POLAIR's refrigeration and heating products in India (direct import / production localization / partnership etc.), including pricing, volumes and partnerships with distributors, retailers, and end-users (e.g., food processing, supermarkets, HORECA).

- Conduct in-depth market research: Analyze demand trends, customer segments, regulatory requirements (e.g., BIS certification, import duties), and competitive landscape (e.g., local players like Blue Star, Voltas, and global brands).

- Build and manage the sales funnel: Identify leads, negotiate deals, achieve aggressive sales targets, and scale from pilot projects to full operations.

- Assemble and lead a local sales team and develop service and after-sales support, while ensuring alignment with POLAIR's global standards.

- Forge strategic partnerships: Collaborate with local agents, EPC firms, trade associations, and exhibition organizers (e.g., AAHAR, FoodPro) to boost visibility.

- Represent POLAIR Group at industry events, trade shows, and government forums to promote the Group's products and expertise.

- Handle operational planning and budgeting (organization and control of execution), prepare reporting for the head office, manage operational and financial indicators as well as cash flows and accounts receivable.
