Role Overview:


- We are looking for a midsenior level Associate Business Consultant Trade Finance with deep domain expertise in international trade finance and strong experience in manual / functional testing of banking products.


- In this role, you will: act as a bridge between business, product, and technology teams drive requirement analysis and solution design ensure regulatory-compliant, high-quality trade finance solutions mentor junior team members and lead functional discussions with clients The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in Trade Finance operations and application testing, bexcellent analytical ability, and strong client-facing communication skills.


Key Responsibilities:


- Lead and perform functional testing of enterprise-class Trade Finance applications Translate business requirements into user stories, functional specs, and test scenarios Conduct requirement gathering and gap analysis workshops with clients and stakeholders Perform testing across modules including:


- Letters of Credit (LC) Bank Guarantees (BG) Documentary Collections SWIFT payments and messages Design, write, and execute effective test cases and UAT scenarios Validate REST APIs/Web Services and support database testing activities


- Work closely with product owners, developers, QA, and business users Identify risks, defects, and process improvement opportunities early in SDLC Provide production and post-implementation support for Trade Finance systems Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and act as a key liaison with bank users


- Create business documentation, training material, and process flows Provide ongoing business support and maintain high client satisfaction Mentor junior team members and guide them on domain & testing best practices


- Ensure regulatory and compliance alignment across Trade Finance processes


Required Knowledge & Experience:


- Minimum 6+ years of experience, including: 2+ years in Trade Finance Operations within a bank or banking BPO 2+ years in testing Trade Finance applications such as: CGI Intellect iGTB Newgen Eximbills Finastra IMEX or Trade Finance modules in: Temenos Finacle Oracle FCUBS Strong understanding of: Letter of Credit, Bank Guarantees, Collections SWIFT message types Proven experience in: writing user stories creating & executing test cases functional specification writing


- Experience conducting functional training sessions for clients or internal users Familiarity with JIRA or similar project management tools


- Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments Expected Skills Excellent command of English communication written and verbal Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving Ability to function as both individual contributor and team leader


- Strong organizational and time-management skills High customer orientation and stakeholder management ability Proactive, self-driven, and results-focused mindset Can-Do attitude and ability to work in fast-paced environments


Education & Certifications :


- Bachelors degree in: Business Administration Finance Management Information Systems or related field Preferred Certifications (added advantage): CDCS CSDG CITF CSCF ECBA / CCBA / CBAP or Scrum Certifications
