Senior Manager Business Planning

Location: HSR Layout, Bengaluru

Working Days: 6 Days, In Office

Key Responsibilities:

Business Planning & Forecasting:

- Lead the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), long-term strategic planning, and quarterly re-forecast cycles.

- Develop financial models, scenario analysis, and business cases to support strategic initiatives and decision-making.

- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of forecasts, aligning them with business goals and external market conditions.

Business Finance & Analysis:

- Partner with finance and business teams to monitor P&L performance, margins, and cost optimization opportunities.

- Perform variance analysis, highlight key risks/opportunities, and recommend corrective actions.

- Support leadership in capital allocation, investment planning, and resource prioritization.

Data Insights & Reporting:

- Translate complex data into actionable business insights for leadership teams.

- Build and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and performance scorecards using BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).

- Conduct market benchmarking and competitive analysis to inform business strategy.

Stakeholder Management:

- Collaborate with senior leadership, functional heads, and cross-functional teams to align planning with organizational objectives.

- Present financial insights and recommendations to the Executive Leadership Team and Board (as required).

- Drive a culture of data-led decision making across the organization.

Strategic Initiatives & Projects:

- Support M&A evaluations, new business opportunities, and expansion strategies through financial and business analysis.

- Drive special projects, process improvement initiatives, and automation in business planning and reporting.

Key Skills & Competencies:

- Strong expertise in business finance, planning, and analysis.

- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario planning.

- Strong command of data visualization and BI tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SQL preferred).

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

- Ability to translate financial and data insights into clear business recommendations.

- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.

- High level of business acumen with the ability to work in a dynamic environment.

Qualification & Experience:

- MBA (Finance/Strategy)

- MBA + Btech

- 6-12 years of progressive experience in Business planning, FP&A, or Business strategy & finance roles.

- Prior experience in high-growth industries (e.g., EdTech, Technology, Consumer, Services, Trading companies) preferred.
