Job Overview: - The Director of Business Finance will be responsible for leading the financial strategy and planning for our EdTech firm. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of financial leadership in a rapidly growing organization and will be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. The Director of Business Finance will report to the CFO and will work closely with other members of the executive team. Key Responsibilities: - Coordinate with functional stakeholders to develop the monthly & quarterly plans in sync with AOP, with rigor on the bottoms-up approach - Review the plans vs actuals on a regular basis; in-depth analysis of variance and communicating the same proactively creating right visibility and enabling planning of actionable - Do scenario analysis and develop business plans on product enhancement or business initiatives; present top management with analysis - Closely monitor the costs of the function and ensure ROI is being delivered - Handle Adhoc requests and problem-solving with a short turnaround time and supplement such requests with appropriate analysis and comments to support decision making - Enabling the teams in achieving their deliverables through cross-functional coordination and partnering with other business finance managers - Continuous tracking of key financials and business metrics, accurate reporting, and circulating the same to relevant stakeholders at requisite time intervals - Develop a deep understanding of business drivers and leverage that to create views for creating actionable plans - Prepare financial information & analysis for business reviews/presentations with key highlights - Participate & Drive standardization automation projects for process efficiency - Assess competition information to benchmark efficiency & productivity Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus. - 8+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership role - Experience in a rapidly growing organization, - Strong analytical skills and experience working with large data sets - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders - Demonstrated ability to develop and implement financial strategies that support business objectives - Experience with financial modeling and analysis - Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting requirements - Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and develop a high-performing finance team We offer a competitive salary, benefits package, and a dynamic work environment.
