Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer with a strong background in Technical Procurement for a short-term consulting engagement. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between complex electrical engineering requirements and commercial procurement processes, managing everything from RFP creation to vendor finalization.

- Location: Delhi (On-site/Hybrid as per client requirements)

- Duration: 3-6 Months (Contractual; extension subject to client confirmation)

- Experience: 8-10 years

Key Responsibilities

1. Pre-Sourcing & RFP Management

- Review technical specifications, engineering drawings, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for electrical systems and equipment.

- Draft, publish, and manage comprehensive Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Request for Quotations (RFQs).

- Identify, pre-qualify, and engage with reliable electrical equipment manufacturers, vendors, and contractors.

2. Commercial Evaluation & Negotiation

- Conduct detailed Offer Comparisons (Technical & Commercial Bid Tabulations).

- Normalize commercial bids to ensure an apples-to-apples comparison across various vendors.

- Lead commercial negotiations to secure the best pricing, delivery timelines, and warranty terms without compromising technical integrity.

3. Execution & Documentation

- Draft, review, and issue legally compliant Purchase Orders (POs) and work contracts.

- Manage international and domestic trade documentation, including the end-to-end process for Letters of Credit (LC), bank guarantees, and payment terms.

- Coordinate with logistics and finance teams to ensure smooth supply chain execution.

Key Requirements & Qualifications

- Education: Bachelor's Degree / PG/Diploma in Electrical Engineering (essential for understanding technical specs).

- Experience: 8-10 years of techno-commercial experience, specifically handling procurement for large-scale electrical projects, infrastructure, or manufacturing.

- Domain Expertise: Proven track record in handling RFPs, bid evaluation, Purchase Orders, and Letters of Credit (LC).

- Software Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar procurement modules) and advanced MS Excel for bid evaluation.

- Communication: Strong negotiation, drafting, and interpersonal skills to manage both internal stakeholders and external vendors.

Note on Engagement Duration:

This is an urgent contract opening for an initial duration of 3 to 6 months. Any extension beyond this period will be subject to project requirements and client confirmation. Candidates who are immediately available or have a short notice period will be highly preferred.
