Job Description : Senior Consultant - Operations & Manufacturing (Pharma)
We are seeking a high-caliber Senior Consultant with deep technical expertise and a strategic mindset to drive excellence within our pharmaceutical manufacturing operations. This role is designed for a seasoned professional who can bridge the gap between complex plant-level technicalities and high-level business strategy.
Role Overview :
- Contract Duration : 1 Year (Extendable based on performance and project needs)
- Location : Ahmedabad (Requires frequent travel to plant sites)
- Start Date : June 2026
- Experience Level : 10-15 Years
Key Responsibilities :
- Strategic Advisory : Lead end-to-end consulting engagements focused on manufacturing excellence, supply chain optimization, and operational efficiency within the Pharma domain.
- Plant Optimization : Analyze shop-floor processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies to improve yield and reduce waste.
- Compliance & Technical Oversight : Ensure all manufacturing strategies align with global regulatory standards (FDA, MHRA, etc.) and technical best practices.
- Stakeholder Management : Act as the primary liaison between plant leadership and executive stakeholders, translating technical data into actionable business insights.
- Change Management : Drive organizational transformation initiatives, ensuring sustainable adoption of new processes and technologies.
Candidate Profile :
1. Professional Experience :
- 10-15 years of total experience, with a significant portion spent in Management Consulting firms (Big 4 or specialized boutiques).
- Proven track record of working physically within Manufacturing Plants, specifically in the Pharmaceutical/Life Sciences industry.
2. Education :
- MBA/Post-Graduate Degree from a premier B-School is mandatory.
- Technical undergraduate degree (B.Pharm, B.E., or B.Tech) is highly preferred to manage the technical rigors of the role.
3. Technical & Soft Skills :
- Deep understanding of Pharma manufacturing workflows (Solid Orals, Injectables, API, etc.).
- Expertise in operational excellence frameworks (TPM, OEE, Kaizen).
- Strong financial acumen and the ability to build complex business cases.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of influencing C-suite executives.
