Job Summary:
- We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to lead and oversee the end-to-end payroll process for our organization.
- The ideal candidate will ensure timely and accurate payroll processing, compliance with statutory regulations, and efficient management of payroll systems and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the entire payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely salary disbursements for all employees.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations related to payroll including PF, ESI, TDS, professional tax, gratuity, and other labor laws.
- Maintain and update payroll records including attendance, leaves, bonuses, deductions, and reimbursements.
- Coordinate with HR and Finance teams to process new hires, terminations, promotions, and salary revisions.
- Oversee payroll software/system implementation, upgrades, and troubleshoot payroll system issues.
- Prepare and submit monthly/quarterly/annual statutory returns and reports related to payroll.
- Respond to employee payroll queries and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Lead, train, and supervise the payroll team to ensure operational efficiency and accuracy.
- Conduct periodic audits of payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies as required.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency and accuracy.
- Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and best practices.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's/master's degree in Finance, Accounting, HR, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Payroll Manager or similar role (typically 5+ years).
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes, statutory compliance, and labor laws.
- Hands-on experience with payroll software (e. , ADP, SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, Oracle Payroll, or similar).
