We are seeking CA/CMA/Ex Armed forces professionals to serve as Manager Project Integrity and Finance Strategy for our Nature-Based Carbon Credit Projects, including Regenerative Agriculture, Agroforestry, Biochar, and Enhanced Rock Weathering.
The Project Finance Assurance Lead will independently oversee assigned projects and ensure:
- Strategic oversight of project finances, including P L management and investor reporting.
- Compliance of projects with registry standards and customer contracts.
- Prevention of fraud and Safeguarding of assets and Identification of cost-saving. alternatives.
- Accuracy of reporting and data integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
Field Audits On-Ground Validation:
- Travel extensively to project locations for physical verification.
- Conduct field inspections of work progress, deployed assets, and on-ground activities.
- Validate beneficiary interactions, data collected, and field-level reports.
- Identify low-cost alternative methods for efficient project execution.
- Evaluate field operations to detect risks, inefficiencies, and cost-optimization opportunities.
Process Improvement Tech Enablement:
- Collaborate with the technology team to enhance project tracking, data validation, and workflow efficiency.
- Recommend system improvements for automated payment processing and error prevention.
- Translate audit findings into actionable system improvements, process controls, and monitoring enhancements.
- Support development of dashboards, standard checklists, and digital validation mechanisms.
Financial Compliance Audit:
- Review project-related invoices, vendor bills, and payment requests.
- Validate cost claims and ensure complete documentation for expenditures.
- Conduct internal checks to prevent misreporting, financial irregularities, and fraud.
- Ensure adherence to internal financial policies and statutory requirements.
- Prepare and certify milestone documents for project progress submissions.
Reporting Stakeholder Coordination:
- Prepare detailed audit reports, progress certifications, and risk assessments.
- Collaborate with project, finance, and field teams to resolve audit observations.
- Present findings and insights to management for decision-making.
- Maintain audit independence while supporting smoother project operations.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- CA or CMA or CIMA or Ex Armed Forces.
- Completed articleship with substantive exposure to audit functions.
- 1 - 2 years post-qualification experience in any of the following:
- Internal Audit.
- Cost Audit.
- Statutory Audit Financial controls or project audits.
Skills Competencies:
- Ability to understand customer contracts and carbon registry standards.
- Strong financial analysis, budgeting, and P L management skills.
- Comfortable with extensive travel, including rural locations.
- Strong analytical ability and fraud detection skills.
- Strong capability to identify risks, investigate discrepancies, and propose solutions.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, including investor. reporting for projects.
