Key Responsibilities:
Data Analyst, You Will Contribute To The Success Of Our Climate Mitigation Projects In Agriculture By Focusing On The Following Areas.
- Use process-based models (e.g., DayCent, DNDC, RothC) to analyze greenhouse gas emissions and soil carbon dynamics.
- Prepare and process data using tools like Python or R, streamlining workflows for accurate results.
- Support the development of systems for Monitoring, Reporting, and Verification (MRV) of carbon projects, ensuring compliance with carbon protocols.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate scientific insights into project strategies.
- Communicate findings effectively through reports, presentations, and discussions with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- A degree (Masters or Bachelors with relevant experience) in Soil Science, Agricultural Engineering, Environmental Science, Ecology, or a related field.
- Some experience with agricultural or ecosystem modeling (e.g., DayCent, DNDC, RothC, or similar tools).
- Proficiency in data analysis using Python, R, or other relevant programming languages.
- Ability to work with large datasets, ensuring accurate processing and analysis.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude toward solving complex problems.
Additional Information:
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with DayCent, DNDC, or similar process-based models.
- Understanding of carbon market protocols (e.g., Verified Carbon Standard, Climate Action Reserve, Gold Standard).
- Experience with model calibration, validation, or uncertainty analysis.
- Knowledge of version control systems like Git.
- Prior experience preparing technical reports or scientific publications.
