About the Role:


We are looking for an experienced Lead Finance Applications Systems Transformation (FAST) to drive finance application governance, finance master data enablement, operational stability, and finance transformation initiatives across enterprise finance domains including Accounting-to-Report (A2R), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Order-to-Cash (O2C), Finance Master Data Enablement, and SOX & Controls.

Operating within the GFAM organization, this role serves as a senior functional owner responsible for ensuring finance applications and finance master data are close-ready, audit-safe, operationally stable, and transformation-enabled through standardization, automation, and process simplification.

The role requires strong expertise in ERP finance systems, finance transformation programs, SOX controls, operational governance, and large-scale transition environments including TSA Exit and knowledge transfer enablement.

Key Responsibilities:


BUILD Functional Design Authority, KT Enablement & Change Delivery:


- Act as the functional design authority for finance applications, posting logic, integrations, controls, and finance master data within assigned domains.

- Lead requirements gathering and translate finance business needs into scalable and testable functional designs.

- Partner with IT delivery teams to ensure solutions are aligned with finance, compliance, audit, and operational requirements.

- Lead Knowledge Transfer (KT) and TSA Exit enablement initiatives to institutionalize sustainable operational ownership within FAST organization.

- Drive creation, governance, and quality of operational documentation including:


- Runbooks


- SOPs


- Playbooks


- Decision Trees


- Exception Handling Frameworks


- Audit Evidence Standards


- Establish operational governance and instrumentation models including:


- KT readiness metrics


- Operational KPIs


- Stability metrics


- Case management and intake processes


- Govern functional testing, UAT coordination, release readiness, and finance-impacting changes.

- Ensure projects and enhancements are delivered with minimal risk to close cycles, controls, and financial reporting.

- Support enterprise transformation initiatives including:


- Entity Setup


- ERP Integrations


- Transition Stabilization


- Finance Systems Modernization

RUN Operational Stability, Controls & Escalation Governance


- Own operational stability and predictable behavior of finance applications and finance master data within assigned domains.

- Ensure high-quality and repeatable close outcomes through disciplined operational execution.

- Safeguard SOX compliance, audit readiness, and embedded finance controls.

- Act as the primary functional escalation point for:


- Close-critical issues


- Audit-impacting incidents


- High-risk finance system defects


- Lead functional root-cause analysis, impact assessments, and validation of fixes.

- Partner with FAST Analysts and managed services teams to operate tiered support and escalation models.

- Drive reduction of recurring defects and operational inefficiencies using trend analysis and intervention data.

OPTIMIZE Standardization, Simplification & Transformation


- Lead initiatives to simplify finance configurations and reduce operational complexity.

- Drive standardization of finance applications, finance master data structures, and controls.

- Collaborate with Finance, IT, Data, and Controls teams to improve governance, automation, and data quality.

- Support AI readiness, analytics enablement, and automation initiatives through disciplined operational foundations.

- Contribute to FAST roadmap planning, prioritization, and continuous transformation programs.

Domain Coverage

- Depending on assignment, the role may lead one or more of the following domains:

Required Skills & Qualifications:


- Bachelors degree required; advanced degree preferred.

- 8 - 12 years of experience in:


- Finance Systems


- ERP Enablement


- Finance Transformation


- Finance Operations Governance


- Strong understanding of:


- Finance Processes


- Accounting Principles


- Financial Close


- SOX & Internal Controls


- Audit Readiness


- Hands-on experience with ERP finance modules and enterprise finance applications.

- Proven experience leading:


- KT Programs


- Documentation Build-Out


- Operational Stabilization


- Governance & Controls Initiatives


- Strong expertise balancing operational stability and transformation delivery in complex environments.

- Excellent analytical, root-cause analysis, and problem-solving capabilities.

- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership skills.

- Experience working in global and matrixed organizations preferred.

Preferred Skills:


- Experience supporting large-scale ERP or finance transformation programs.

- Exposure to enterprise master data governance initiatives.

- Familiarity with automation and finance process optimization strategies.

- Exposure to managed services operational models and transition programs
