About the Role:

- We are seeking a strategic and highly collaborative Product Owner with deep domain expertise in US-based employee benefits, including healthcare (medical, dental, vision), welfare benefits, life plans, and fringe benefit administration.

- The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading product lifecycles from vision to delivery, working closely with engineering, QA, design, and business stakeholders to build scalable, compliant, and user-centric benefits platforms.

- This role is critical in shaping the future of digital benefits experiences for enterprise clients across healthcare, insurance, and HR tech.

- You will be responsible for defining product strategy, prioritising backlogs, and ensuring delivery of high-impact features that drive employee engagement, compliance, and retention.

Key Responsibilities:


- Own the product vision and roadmap for healthcare benefits (medical, dental, vision), welfare plans, life insurance, and fringe benefit platforms across SaaS and cloud-based solutions.

- Collaborate with stakeholders (HR, Payroll, Compliance, Carriers) to gather, refine, and prioritize business requirements for benefits enrollment, eligibility, account management, and claims processing.

- Lead the creation and maintenance of user stories, acceptance criteria, and product specifications for complex benefits workflows (e.g., open enrollment, carrier integrations, EDI 843, HSA/FSA/HRA management).

- Partner with engineering and QA teams to ensure high-quality, secure, and compliant delivery of benefits features, adhering to standards like HIPAA, HITECH, ISO 27001, ISO 27701, 21CFR 312.70, and state-specific laws (e.g., Massachusetts Chapter 93H).

- Drive automation and process optimization in benefits administration (e.g., automated onboarding, validation frameworks, test harnesses) to reduce manual effort and accelerate time-to-market.

- Champion end-to-end user experience across employee portals, admin dashboards, and carrier integrations - ensuring intuitive, accessible, and inclusive design.

- Work closely with Sales, Delivery, and Client Success teams to ensure product-market fit, smooth onboarding, and post-launch adoption.

- Leverage data and feedback to continuously improve product performance, usability, and ROI for enterprise clients.

Required Qualifications:

- 7+ years of experience in product ownership, product management, or benefits administration within US healthcare, insurance, or HR tech.

- Deep understanding of healthcare benefits (medical, dental, vision), life plans, welfare benefits, and fringe benefit programs.

- Experience working with cloud-based benefits platforms (e.g., ADP, Benefitfocus, Workday, Salesforce, or custom SaaS solutions).

- Proven ability to manage complex product backlogs, prioritize features using frameworks like Kanban, Scrum, or SAFe, and deliver in agile environments.

- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills - able to translate business needs into technical requirements and vice versa.

- Familiarity with EDI 843, file transformations, payroll integrations, carrier interfaces, and eligibility systems.

- Experience with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar product management tools.

- Knowledge of compliance standards (HIPAA, ISO 27001/27701, GDPR, CCPA) is essential.
