We are looking for Business Analyst for our Product Team. Business Analyst Profile for BizDynamics BizDynamics, is a cloud unit of ValueMomentum Inc., that delivers cloud-based solutions to customers in P&C domain that includes Insurance carriers, MGAs, Program Administrators, etc. BizDynamics Professional Services group drives project implementations for SMB customers that includes implementation of solutions leveraging ValueMomentum's Product and Platform offerings, other commercial off the shelf products/platforms as well as custom built solutions and services. The project teams in this unit work closely with multiple internal teams including Product Engineering teams to deliver solutions as per ValueMomentum's standards. Job Description: Business Analyst position is a client facing role that will drive Business Analysis activities leveraging deep domain and functional understanding of insurance systems and operations. Business Analyst will perform activities like: - Drafting of detailed specifications based on analysis of product manuals, bureau content, circulars, and rating artifacts - Understanding and documentation of customer's systems and processes - Generation of detailed specifications for the business requirements - Conduct gap analysis and recommend to-be state specifications Business Analyst will engage with Insurance IT, Business teams and all the internal and external stakeholders involved in project implementations. Key Responsibilities: - Engage with customer to get a comprehensive and deeper understanding of customer problems and objectives. - Generate detailed functional requirements and specifications for the customer's business needs. - Define detailed configuration steps based on comprehensive understanding of Business Processes and Insurance Products in scope. - Document business and rating logic, conduct review sessions with customer and get sign-off - Trouble shoot and identify the issues quickly. Have an overall understanding of typical issues that occur while configuring rates, rules, and forms. - Drive the discussions in collaboration with technical and other internal stakeholders and come up with creative solutions for problem statements considering all the constraints involved. - Present the solution details and specifications to implementation teams. - Conduct periodic reviews of the WIP application and ensure the implementation is aligned to the signed off specifications. - Contribute towards development of insurance domain practice within the Professional services group. - Support PMO team in managing the customer expectations and priorities effectively. Skills and Experience: - 5-6 years of relevant IT experience in the following areas, including 3+ years of system's implementation experience in P&C domain - Excellent Knowledge of P&C Insurance domain (preferably Commercial Lines). - Knowledge of bureau content is an additional advantage. - Experience in implementing solutions using established Insurance Products/Suites. - Ability to explain complex business and technical issues in simple terms. - Experience in implementing Policy Administration, Rating and Underwriting modules. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
