Job Title: Validation Head - EV 3-Wheeler Location: Bangalore, India Experience: 20+ years Industry: Electric Vehicles / Automotive Function: Product Engineering / Validation About the Role: We are seeking a seasoned Validation Head with deep expertise in the Electric 3-Wheeler segment, to lead end-to-end validation and testing activities. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in vehicle-level prototyping, system integration, and mechanical component validation, along with proven leadership in developing and executing robust DVPs for electric vehicles. Key Responsibilities: - Lead vehicle-level validation for electric 3-wheelers from concept to production - Oversee prototyping and vehicle builds, ensuring alignment with design and performance goals - Own the mechanical component validation process including chassis, suspension, powertrain mounts, etc. - Develop and manage robust DVPs (Design Validation Plans) across vehicle systems - Ensure compliance with performance, safety, durability, and regulatory standards - Implement and drive DFMA (Design for Manufacturing & Assembly) and PFMEA practices across validation cycles - Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, systems, software, and manufacturing to ensure validation closure - Manage validation test labs, facilities, and external testing vendors as needed - Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and team leadership in validation best practices Key Requirements: - 20+ years of experience in the automotive domain with a strong focus on validation, testing, and prototyping - At least 5+ years of hands-on experience in EV 3-wheeler development - Deep expertise in vehicle-level DVP preparation and execution - Strong working knowledge of vehicle systems integration, mechanical sub-system testing, and design validation - Proven experience with DFMA and PFMEA - Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage external stakeholders - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical / Automotive Engineering or equivalent Preferred Attributes: - Experience working in startup or scale-up EV environments - Exposure to certification and homologation processes for electric vehicles - Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
