Role Description:

To oversee day-to-day construction activities of the new hospital project, ensuring timely progress, adherence to quality standards, compliance with safety norms, and effective coordination between the Architect, PMC, Contractors, and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

- Monitor day-to-day site construction activities and ensure work progresses as per the approved project schedule.

- Coordinate with Architect, PMC Consultant, and Contractors to resolve site issues and ensure smooth execution.

- Track milestones and prepare weekly/monthly progress reports for senior management review.

- Present project status, risks, and delays to management with data-based updates and recommendations.

- Ensure adherence to approved drawings, BOQs, technical specifications, and quality standards.

- Conduct regular quality inspections for civil, structural, finishing, and MEP works.

- Monitor project costs, material usage, and contractor performance to prevent overruns.

- Assist in obtaining statutory approvals and permits related to construction, utilities, fire & safety, pollution control, and local body clearances.

- Coordinate submission of drawings and required documents to authorities for approval.

- Ensure strict compliance with safety protocols, labor regulations, and environmental norms at the construction site.

- Review contractor bills, certification documents, and variation claims in coordination with PMC.

- Maintain accurate site documentation, including work logs, inspection reports, and material registers.

- Identify risks, delays, and technical issues early and escalate with solutions.

- Ensure on-site quality checks and verify that construction work follows approved drawings, materials, and industry standards.

- Ensure timely availability of approved drawings, materials, and work fronts to avoid stoppages.

- Support the management in vendor evaluation, contract coordination, and project decision-making.

Qualifications:

- Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering.

- 15-20 years of experience in construction project execution; healthcare/hospital projects preferred.

- Strong understanding of MEP, finishing, and civil construction processes.

- Good knowledge of safety standards and statutory requirementsStrong expertise in Project Management and the ability to oversee and implement project plans effectively.

- Knowledge of Inspection processes to maintain quality assurance and control during project execution.

- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
