
Role Overview:
The Zonal HR Manager will serve as the primary strategic partner for regional operations, overseeing human capital functions across multiple store locations in the Bangalore zone. You will act as the bridge between corporate HR policies and on-ground retail execution, ensuring that store teams are aligned with organizational goals. This role involves frequent interaction with regional business heads, store managers, and frontline staff to drive productivity, maintain employee morale, and ensure seamless HR operations. Your work will directly influence store-level performance, retention rates, and the overall service quality delivered to customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive end-to-end talent acquisition strategies to ensure store staffing levels meet operational demands and seasonal peak requirements.
- Oversee performance management cycles, ensuring that store managers conduct fair appraisals and provide actionable feedback to their teams.
- Lead employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive work culture and reduce attrition across the retail network.
- Manage grievance handling processes by conducting objective investigations and providing timely resolutions to maintain a harmonious work environment.
- Coordinate training and development programs to upskill store staff in customer service, visual merchandising, and operational efficiency.
- Supervise HR operations, including payroll inputs, attendance management, and statutory compliance, to ensure seamless administrative functioning.
- Partner with regional business leaders to identify human capital gaps and implement structural interventions that support business growth.
Required Skillset:
- Proven ability to function as a strategic HR Business Partner, translating business objectives into effective people strategies.
- Strong proficiency in managing high-volume recruitment and onboarding processes within the retail or service industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in conflict resolution and grievance management, with a balanced approach to employee advocacy and company policy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
- Ability to thrive in an on-site, fast-paced retail environment, requiring frequent travel across the assigned zone.
- A Master's degree in Human Resources or an MBA from a reputed institute is preferred.
- Candidates must possess 6 - 10 years of relevant experience in HR generalist roles, preferably within the retail or FMCG sectors.
