Lead I - Business Analysis Location - Bangalore, India EXPERIENCE : 5 - 7 years Job Title: Business Analyst Role Proficiency: Independently perform core Business Analysis activities with minimal supervision, while collaborating with a Lead Business Analyst when needed. Analyze client business needs to recommend, evaluate, and implement effective solutions that align with business goals. Key Responsibilities & Outcomes: Stakeholder Engagement & Communication: - Collaborate with stakeholders to identify, analyze, and define business needs and objectives. - Drive stakeholder collaboration to reach consensus and agreement on requirements, priorities, and outcomes. - Lead verbal and written communication with internal and client stakeholders. - Facilitate stakeholder workshops, interviews, and requirements elicitation sessions. Requirements Engineering & Solution Design: - Elicit, analyze, define, document, and manage business and software requirements. - Create key business analysis artefacts (e.g., BRDs, FRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, wireframes). - Align requirements with design solutions, ensuring traceability, completeness, and business value. - Define and manage functional and non-functional requirements, including system interfaces and constraints. Solution Evaluation & Change Management: - Evaluate solution options using metrics, stakeholder feedback, and strategic analysis. - Perform impact assessments of changes in requirements and designs. - Develop and apply effective change control and requirement lifecycle management processes. - Validate solution performance against business expectations. Project Delivery & Process Adherence: - Support agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, retrospectives) and ensure alignment with BA deliverables. - Develop and execute a business analysis approach tailored for complex, cross-functional projects. - Proactively establish cadence (e.g., weekly/bi-weekly) for requirement reviews and stakeholder check ins. - Ensure adherence to methodology and project governance processes. Collaboration & Mentorship: - Collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams, including developers, testers, and SMEs. - Mentor junior BAs as required and contribute to capability uplift within the BA community. Expected Outputs: - Comprehensive and validated requirements and design documentation. - Reusable artefacts (e.g., templates, models) contributing to organizational knowledge. - Clear traceability of requirements to design, development, and testing. - Stakeholder-aligned recommendations and business case development. - Proactive identification of business problems, risks, dependencies, and opportunities. - Adoption of tools, templates, and techniques that improve analysis efficiency and quality. Key Measures of Success: - Tangible business value delivered through recommendations and solutions. - Effective stakeholder communication and collaboration. - Quality and clarity of business analysis deliverables. - Customer satisfaction and feedback. - Contribution to BA knowledge base, training, and methodologies. - Continuous improvement in BA processes and techniques. Required Skills & Competencies: Analytical & Problem-Solving: - Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills. - Experience in root cause analysis, process modeling, data analysis, and solution design. Communication & Interpersonal: - Adapt communication style to diverse audiences (technical/non-technical). - Excellent documentation, presentation, facilitation, and negotiation skills. Tools & Technology: - Proficient in BA tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Visio, Lucidchart, Balsamiq, or equivalent. - Working knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). - Familiarity with prototyping, simulation, and requirement management tools. Business Knowledge: -Strong understanding of ERP systems, vendor master data, data quality, and data standards. - Knowledge of key business processes, market trends, and regulatory requirements. - Business Analysis Techniques Proficient in various BA techniques including: - Process Modeling (BPMN) - Use Case & User Stories - SWOT Analysis - Stakeholder Mapping - Business Model Canvas - Workshops, Surveys, Interviews - Root Cause Analysis - Requirements Prioritization & Traceability - Acceptance & Evaluation Criteria Definition Preferred Experience & Domain Knowledge: Experience: 5+ years in Business Analysis, preferably on large-scale data platform or cloud projects. Technologies: - AWS Athena, AWS Glue, Delta Lake, Databricks, or equivalent big data/analytics platforms. API-based integrations and user interface design for data access. Domain Expertise: - ERP systems and vendor master data. - Data governance, data quality, and handling incomplete/inconsistent datasets. - Familiarity with sustainability reporting (e.g., ESG certification) and regulatory data structures. Methodologies: - Agile/Scrum and hybrid delivery models. - Good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Desirable Attributes: - Proactive, adaptable, and able to thrive in ambiguity. - Self-motivated with the ability to work independently. - Strategic mindset with attention to operational detail. - Recognized by peers for leadership and domain expertise. Additional Responsibilities (as needed): - Support pre-sales/business development activities by identifying opportunities and proposing solutions. - Assist in solutioning and preparing business cases or proposals. - Develop innovative tools, templates, or frameworks that enhance BA practices across the organization.
