Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Generalist to join our growing team in Pune.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of core HR functions within the IT services industry and be capable of supporting end-to-end HR operations, payroll, employee engagement, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies.

Experience Required:

- MBA in HR / PGDM / Equivalent degree in Human Resources.

- 5+ years of experience as an HR Generalist in an IT services company.

- Hands-on experience with payroll processing and statutory compliance.

- Strong knowledge of Indian labor laws and HR operations.

- Familiarity with HR software/tools (e.g., Zoho, Darwinbox, GreytHR, SAP HR, etc.)

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive information confidentially.

Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment & Onboarding:

- Coordinate with hiring managers to understand hiring needs and drive the recruitment process.

- Conduct initial screening, interviews, and selection for various technical and non-technical roles.

Payroll Management:

- Process monthly payroll in coordination with the finance/payroll team.

- Validate attendance, leave, and variable components for accurate payroll execution.

- Handle payroll queries and ensure timely salary disbursement.

- Manage statutory compliance (PF, ESIC, PT, TDS, etc.) and generate required reports.

- Coordinate with external payroll vendors, if applicable.

Employee Relations & Engagement:

- Act as a point of contact for employee queries, concerns, and conflict resolution.

- Organize employee engagement initiatives, team-building activities, and HR events.

- Conduct stay interviews, exit interviews, and analyze feedback for retention strategies.

Performance Management:

- Facilitate goal setting, mid-year reviews, and annual appraisals.

- Support managers with performance improvement plans (PIPs) and feedback discussions.

- Track and report performance trends.

HR Operations:

- Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data.

- Manage employee letters, documents, and full employee life cycle activities.

- Ensure timely processing of leaves, attendance, and benefits.

Policy Implementation & Compliance:

- Process monthly payroll in coordination with the finance/payroll team.

- Ensure adherence to company policies, labor laws, and HR best practices.

- Drive compliance training (POSH, workplace ethics, etc.)

- Maintain audit-ready HR records and statutory documentation.

Nice to Have:

- Experience with end-to-end payroll ownership.

- Certifications like SHRM-CP, PHR, or payroll-specific courses.

- Exposure to HR analytics and dashboards.
