About the Role:


- As a US Tax Manager, you will play a key role in expanding our tax outsourcing services, specifically targeting CPA firms across the United States.

- Strong communication and leadership skills are essential for success in this role.

- You will be responsible for building and leading a team of tax professionals who are well-versed in U.S. business and individual tax regulations, ensuring consistent, high-quality service delivery to our clients.


Responsibilities:


- Review corporate, partnership, individual tax returns

- Oversee the calculation and analysis of proprietary tax strategies for clients

- Develop relationships with staff

- Ensure that Seniors and Staff are up to date on current tax practices and changes in tax law

- Provide both leadership and supervision to Tax Seniors and Staff

- Attentive participation in US Corporate Tax training modules and on the job trainings.

- Able to prepare a simple, straight-forward Business or Individual Income Tax Return.

- Preparation of form 1040 federal tax return and state tax returns

- Thorough review of document and application of any changes in tax rates, tax laws for US tax return

preparation

- Ability to identify any technical issues on the engagements and bring it to the notice of the lead to

reach the desired resolution

- Able to transfer the income and expenses, and assets and liabilities into a tax return format, to ensure that the Book-To-Tax Reconciliation is properly prepared and in balance.

- Able to successfully navigate Tax Technology used for tax returns.

- Preparation of US (Federal/State) Corporate, Partnership tax returns (Form 1120/1065, etc).

- Preparation of US International compliance tax forms (Form 5471/8858/8865, etc).

- Validate data and analysis for accuracy and relevance.

- Utilize available tax technical resources to enhance US tax knowledge.

- Keep up-to-date with technical developments for business area.

- Responsible for self-review of deliverables before handing them to Senior / Assistant Manager.

- Attention to detail, deadline oriented and able to manage time.

- Respects and maintains confidentially of client, staff, and firm information.

- Contribute to team discussions and share knowledge for the benefit of the group.

- Understand assignment instructions and applies them as directed; seeks guidance when needed.

- Understands personal and team roles as well as based on responsibilities and objectives.

- Ensure client KPIs are consistently met both with respect to quality and budgets, to ensure escalations are at the minimum.

- Deliver a full range of tax services in compliance with laws and regulations within timeframe

- Build relationships and interact with clients to provide excellent planning, consulting, and expertise

- Provide innovative tax planning and review complex income tax returns

- Identify and mitigate tax risks

- Manage tax provision and tax compliance process

- Improve processes by developing or implementing best practices

- Add details on Team Ownership and Drive

- Research and understand potential tax regulation and participate in modelling different scenarios.

- Strong Tax Operational Background and Project management skills.

- Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively and build relationships with internal or

external stakeholders/service providers

- Provide guidance and coach the team members

- Manage team developments and performance

- Cross selling and generating new clients for the firm

- Drive process improvement and automation and technology implementation.


Qualifications:


- 5+ years of experience in US Individual or Federal Tax Corporate, Partnership, Private Wealth, and Trust Forms 1120, 1065, 1040, 1041.

- Enrolled Agent or other appropriate certification (or in the process if pursuing).

- Master's or Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance or another business-related field.

- Prior Big 4 experience or equivalent Experience.

- Strong communication, analytical and interpersonal skills.

- Experience with managing projects / clients including scheduling, budgeting, client correspondence and excellent technology and research skills.

- Software skills like CCH and Ultra tax would be a plus.


Preferred Skills:


- An understanding of US accounting principles, IRS, internal regulations of both GAAP and US GAAP

- Ability to multi-task tax engagements, track the status across all engagements, and drive their completion.

- Strong verbal and written communications skills with the ability to adapt style and messaging to effectively communicate with professionals within the organization and with the clients.

- Analytical and diagnostic skills to be able to break down complex issues and implementing appropriate resolutions.

- Demonstrate to work independently and manage multiple assignments
