- About The Team And This Role.
- The tax team is our core execution engine.
- Volumetric processing of US tax filings, assisted by the best technology and workflow automation tools.
- You'll be an integral senior person managing this team, which takes tax to the future.
Responsibilities:
- Build and train the tax team.
- Extensive knowledge in US tax.
- Oversee the entire process of prep, review and filing for a high volume of federal and state tax returns (1120) and workpapers.
- Oversee the filing of 5471, 5472, FBAR and BEA Forms for various accounting clients.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, conducting tax research, and providing tax planning and advisory services.
- Oversee replies for Tax Notices and compiling required documents, including calling state tax authorities as well as the IRS, if needed.
- Stay updated on changes in tax regulations and work closely with clients to address their tax-related queries and needs.
- Identify potential adjustments due to tax law changes and reflect on work papers and returns.
- Research various complex tax topics on a case-by-case basis.
- Maintain and lead client relationships on day-to-day tax matters, supporting partners with service execution and developing extended services.
- Proactively build relationships and communicate effectively with clients to provide superior service.
- Identify tax issues and propose potential solutions.
- Oversee client deliverables per the scope of work and deadlines, maintaining quality across all outputs.
Who Were Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or an equivalent field.
- CPA or EA (Enrolled Agent) qualification is mandatory.
- 5-8 years of hands-on experience with US tax filings for corporations, especially Form 1120.
- Experience with CCH tax preparation software is preferred.
- Knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
- Strong command of English, both written and verbal.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Working hours: Monday-Friday, based in our Bengaluru office, 12pm-9pm IST, serving US customers.
