Job Title: US Mortgage Live Underwriter.

Location: | Bengaluru | Work From Home.

Experience: Minimum 3+ years of US mortgage underwriting (with at least 1 year in live underwriting).

Key Responsibilities:

- Review and analyze mortgage loan applications for eligibility, accuracy, and compliance.

- Evaluate creditworthiness, income, collateral, and loan-to-value ratios.

- Make independent decisions on loan acceptance and associated risk.

- Provide final approval on mortgage loans.

- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve escalations.

- Manage loan files and processing using Encompass and other LOS platforms.

Requirements:

- Bachelors degree or equivalent.

- Minimum 3+ years of experience in US mortgage underwriting, with at least 1 year of live underwriting.

- Strong knowledge of the 4 Cs of underwriting Credit, Capacity, Collateral, and Capital (Assets).

- Hands-on experience with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, and VA guidelines.

- Proficiency with AUS tools (DU/LP) and manual underwriting.

- Experience working with LOS platforms like Encompass, Blend, etc.
