Role Overview:
As a US Key Account Manager (KAM) focused on Amazon, you will be responsible for driving significant revenue growth and fostering strong, strategic partnerships with key stakeholders within Amazon. This role involves day-to-day management of the Amazon account, including sales forecasting, promotional planning, and performance analysis. You will collaborate closely with internal teams such as marketing, supply chain, and product development to ensure seamless execution of account strategies. Ultimately, your efforts will directly impact our company's market share, profitability, and brand presence on the Amazon platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive account plans for Amazon, aligned with overall business objectives, to maximize sales and market share.
- Manage and nurture relationships with key decision-makers at Amazon to ensure alignment on strategic goals and identify new business opportunities.
- Analyze sales data and market trends to identify areas for improvement and develop data-driven strategies to optimize performance on the Amazon platform.
- Collaborate with internal marketing teams to create and implement effective promotional campaigns and product launches on Amazon to drive sales and brand awareness.
- Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with Amazon to maximize profitability and ensure a competitive advantage.
- Monitor and address any operational issues or challenges related to the Amazon account to ensure smooth and efficient order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
- Provide regular performance reports and updates to senior management on the progress of the Amazon account against key performance indicators (KPIs).
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful key account management strategies, driving revenue growth and building strong client relationships.
- Proven sales acumen with a strong understanding of e-commerce platforms, particularly Amazon, and the ability to analyze data to identify opportunities and optimize performance.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively influence and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues related to account management and sales performance.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
