Job Objective :
As CFO, he/she will be the architect of our financial strategy, ensuring fiscal discipline while enabling aggressive growth. The primary mission will be to build a world-class accounts & finance function capable of scaling with the organization and executing and leading a seamless IPO process from inception to listing. He/She will serve as a key advisor to the board, investor liaison, and guardian of financial integrity.
Responsibilities:
Accounting & Financial Leadership & Strategy:
- Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with long-term growth, profitability, and market leadership.
- Oversee corporate finance, tax, audit, FP&A and accounting.
- Lead capital allocation decisions, project financing (construction loans, structured debt), and portfolio optimization.
- Drive financial modeling and raising funds for complex real estate developments (Joint Ventures, land acquisitions, phased projects).
- Oversee & co-ordinate financial audits, both internal & external, and ensure timely resolution of audit findings and recommendations for entire group companies.
IPO Preparation & Execution (Critical Requirement):
- Lead the end-to-end IPO process from scratch, including readiness assessment, and roadmap development.
- Select and manage external advisors (investment banks, legal, auditors).
- Prepare compliant financial statements (IND AS/IFRS), implement SOX-like controls, and establish robust reporting systems.
- Develop the equity story, investor presentation, and manage due diligence and conduct the road shows & marketing.
- Ensure seamless transition to public market compliance (SEBI/Exchange regulations) post-listing.
Operational Excellence:
- Implement scalable financial systems (ERP upgrades), processes, and controls for a high-growth environment.
- Oversee project finance, cost management, and ROI analysis for real estate portfolios.
- Manage cash flow, liquidity, and risk mitigation strategies in cyclical markets.
- Lead due diligence and integration for strategic acquisitions.
Stakeholder Management:
- Serve as primary contact for institutional investors, banks, and financial institutions.
- Advise the Board on financial performance, risks, and opportunities.
- Build and mentor a high-performing finance team aligned with IPO and post-IPO demands.
Desirable skills and Qualifications:
- 15-25 years of experience in Accounts & Finance
- Must have led at least one company through a full IPO cycle in last 5 years.
- Strong engagement with merchant bankers & institutional investors & other road shows.
- Hands-on expertise in both Accounts & Finance
- CA qualification is mandatory along with IIM alumni preferred
- Real estate experience is desirable
