Role Type - Full-time, leadership role

Scope - Own the overall creative direction of the brand across campaigns, content, social, digital, experiential and partnerships while leading creative strategy, ideation and execution.

Role Overview:

The Creative Director will own the brand's creative vision and translate business objectives, consumer insights and cultural trends into distinctive brand ideas and campaigns. The role will be responsible for taking work from strategy and concept through execution, ensuring that every consumer-facing touchpoint is aligned with the brand's positioning, tone and creative identity.

The candidate should not be only a design or content manager. The person must understand the complete creative ecosystem including brand strategy, campaign ideation, storytelling, social and digital content, influencer and creator collaborations, experiential activations, partnerships, production and creative team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Overall Creative Ownership:

- Own the overall creative vision and direction for the brand across campaigns, content, social, digital, experiential and other consumer touchpoints.

- Develop creative territories, big ideas and campaign concepts aligned with brand positioning and business objectives.

- Lead creative work end-to-end, from brief interpretation and ideation through execution and rollout.

- Ensure consistency of the brand's voice, tone, storytelling and creative identity across platforms.

- Build a creative culture that encourages original thinking, experimentation and culturally relevant work.

2. Creative Strategy & Campaign Development:

- Translate consumer insights, market trends and cultural conversations into relevant and differentiated creative ideas.

- Develop integrated 360 degree campaigns across digital, social, influencer, experiential, partnerships and offline media.

- Work with brand and marketing teams to turn business objectives into strong creative briefs and campaign platforms.

- Develop creative routes for product launches, seasonal campaigns, topical moments and brand initiatives.

- Use audience behaviour, cultural insights and campaign learnings to continuously improve creative strategy.

3. Content, Culture & Social:

- Build a strong social-first and content-led creative approach for the brand.

- Stay closely connected to pop culture, entertainment, fashion, music, internet culture and emerging trends.

- Identify moments where the brand can participate meaningfully in cultural conversations.

- Develop topical content, editorial ideas, storytelling formats and recurring content properties.

- Create work designed to build organic conversation, engagement and brand relevance.

4. Creative Partnerships & Experiential:

- Lead creative direction for brand partnerships, creator collaborations, artist integrations and experiential activations.

- Collaborate with creators, influencers, artists, agencies, production houses and other external creative partners.

- Develop distinctive brand integrations that maintain cultural relevance while meeting commercial objectives.

- Explore and build creative IPs, properties and experiences that strengthen brand affinity.

5. Leadership & Team Management:

- Lead, mentor and develop the creative team across copy, content, design, social and campaign execution.

- Establish clear creative standards, review mechanisms and execution processes.

- Build a high-performance creative culture focused on accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.

- Guide teams from brief to final execution while maintaining creative quality and strategic alignment.

- Manage external agencies and creative partners where required.

6. Stakeholder & Cross-functional Leadership:

- Partner closely with Brand, Marketing, Growth, Performance, Partnerships, Product, E-commerce and Business teams.

- Present creative concepts and strategic thinking to senior leadership and key stakeholders.

- Ensure creative plans are aligned with commercial priorities, timelines and business objectives.

- Resolve cross-functional challenges that affect creative quality, speed of execution or campaign impact.

7. Creative Performance & Business Impact:

- Evaluate creative performance through engagement, reach, audience response, brand impact and commercial outcomes.

- Use campaign learnings, consumer behaviour and performance data to improve creative effectiveness.

- Connect creative decisions with business outcomes including awareness, engagement, customer acquisition and revenue contribution where relevant.

- Identify creative opportunities that can improve brand differentiation, organic growth and audience connection.

- Build a culture where creative ambition is balanced with measurable business impact.

Required Skills and Experience:

- 8 - 12+ years of experience across creative strategy, advertising, brand, content, digital or integrated marketing.

- Strong experience developing and executing integrated / 360 degree brand campaigns.

- Proven ability to take campaigns from strategic thought and big idea through creative execution and market rollout.

- Strong understanding of brand building, consumer behaviour, cultural trends and contemporary pop culture.

- Strong conceptual, storytelling, copywriting and presentation abilities.

- Experience working with creators, influencers, artists, agencies and brand partners.

- Ability to balance creative ambition with commercial and business objectives.

- Strong stakeholder management and team leadership skills.

- Experience managing and mentoring creative teams across multiple disciplines.

Good to Have:

- Experience in D2C, consumer, lifestyle, fashion, beauty, wellness, F&B, entertainment or youth-focused brands.

- Experience building social-first or culture-led brand campaigns.

- Experience with experiential marketing, brand partnerships and creator-led campaigns.

- Experience developing brand IPs or recurring content properties.

- Experience working with leading creative, media or production agencies.

- Strong understanding of organic social growth and content-led brand building.
