About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Plant Manager to lead its manufacturing operations for Butyl Inner Tubes and Tyre Bladders. This is a strategic leadership role with complete responsibility for plant performance, including production, quality, maintenance, engineering, safety, cost management, manpower development, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence, maximizing productivity, maintaining world-class quality standards, and delivering sustainable profitability while supporting the company's domestic and international growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations & Production Management:

- Lead and manage end-to-end manufacturing operations covering rubber mixing, extrusion, calendaring, tube/bladder building, curing, finishing, inspection, packing, and dispatch.

- Ensure achievement of production targets while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

- Optimize plant capacity utilization and improve overall manufacturing productivity.

- Establish effective production planning and monitoring systems to meet customer delivery commitments.

- Drive continuous improvement in throughput, cycle times, and operational performance.

Quality & Customer Excellence:

- Ensure compliance with customer specifications, export requirements, and applicable quality management systems.

- Maintain robust process controls to minimize defects, rejections, and customer complaints.

- Lead root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions and support customer audits, technical reviews, and certification requirements.

Maintenance & Engineering:

- Ensure maximum equipment availability through preventive and predictive maintenance programs.

- Minimize downtime and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).

- Lead plant modernization, automation, and capacity expansion initiatives.

Safety, Health & Environment:

- Develop and sustain a strong safety culture with a goal of zero accidents.

- Ensure compliance with statutory safety, environmental, and labor regulations.

- Conduct regular audits, risk assessments, and employee awareness programs.

Cost Management & Profitability:

- Drive manufacturing cost reduction initiatives through process optimization and waste elimination.

- Monitor consumption and yield of butyl rubber, synthetic rubber, natural rubber, chemicals, carbon black, curing agents, packaging materials, and utilities.

- Improve material utilization and reduce scrap generation and manage plant budgets and operational expenditure within approved limits.

Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence:

- Implement Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Kaizen, Six Sigma, and other productivity improvement initiatives.

- Establish KPI-based performance management systems.

- Benchmark plant performance against industry best practices.

- Drive digitalization and data-driven decision-making across plant operations.

Experience:

- 20+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing operations within rubber, tyre, automotive, or related process industries.

- Managing a worker strength of minimum 200 Nos.

- Minimum 8 years of experience in a senor role of production management (Plant Manager, Factory Manager, Plant Head, Operations Head, or equivalent leadership role.)

- Polymer experience.

Mandatory Experience:

- Large-scale manufacturing plant management with a minimum revenue of INR 300 crores.

Educational Qualification:

- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.

- Chemical, Polymer, Rubber Technology preferred.

- Certifications in Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Six Sigma, or Operational Excellence will be advantageous.
