Role Description:
- We are looking for a BDM who can consistently bring fintech engineering service projects into the pipeline and close them. You will own outbound + inbound lead conversion, discovery, proposal SOW creation, negotiations, and closures for project-based engagements and longer-term retainers.
- This role is ideal for someone who can sell complex IT services to fintech decision-makers and translate business needs into scoped engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue opportunities for fintech engineering projects across India and global markets.
- Run outbound prospecting (LinkedIn/email/calls), manage inbound leads, and maintain a qualified pipeline.
- Build a target list of fintechs: PSPs/payment aggregators, NBFCs/lenders, marketplaces, fintech SaaS, banks/partners.
- Conduct discovery calls to understand current payment flows, bottlenecks, timelines, stakeholders, and budgets.
- Create and own proposals, estimations, and SOWs (scope, deliverables, assumptions, milestones, payment terms).
- Negotiate commercials and close deals; ensure clean handover to delivery teams.
- Identify upsell opportunities (recon automation, onboarding modules, additional payment methods, dashboards, etc.).
- Help leadership package offerings into project-ready service lines (one-pagers, decks, case studies).
- Collect competitive and pricing insights from the market and feed them back into GTM.
Required Experience & Skills:
- 3-8 years in B2B sales/BD for IT services / software development projects, preferably in fintech payments.
- Strong capability in: outbound prospecting and relationship building, discovery and requirement understanding , proposal/SOW creation and deal negotiation
- Good understanding of fintech concepts: PG flows, UPI/cards/netbanking, settlements,
reconciliation, onboarding ops.
- Strong communication, follow-ups, and stakeholder management.
