You will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end Depository Operations (CDSL/NSDL) and digital KYC processes. You will lead a dedicated team to deliver friction-free customer onboarding, maintain strict regulatory compliance (SEBI, Depositories, Exchanges), and optimize operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

1. KYC & Customer Onboarding:

- Lead the end-to-end e-KYC, Video KYC (VKYC), CKYC, and physical KYC operations to ensure seamless client onboarding.

- Ensure full compliance with SEBI, KRA, and PMLA (Anti-Money Laundering) guidelines.

- Oversee periodic KYC updates, modification requests, and account closure workflows.

2. Depository Participant (DP) Operations:

- Manage daily DP operations (CDSL/NSDL), including Demat account opening, account maintenance, pledge/unpledge requests, and dematerialization/rematerialization.

- Coordinate corporate actions, transfers (DIS/e-DIS), Off-market transfers, and margin pledge workflows.

- Ensure accurate daily reconciliation between DP records, back-office broking ledgers, and depository systems.

- Handle DP audits (internal, external, and depository inspections) and draft timely responses to queries.

3. Process Optimization & Automation:

- Work closely with product and technology teams to automate manual KYC and DP processes, enhancing onboarding speed and accuracy.

- Track operational KPIs (e.g., turnaround time, approval rates, error rates) and continuously optimize workflows.

4. Regulatory Compliance & Risk:

- Act as the primary point of contact for DP and KYC regulatory reporting to CDSL, NSDL, SEBI, and KRAs.

- Maintain complete documentation and audit trails for all client accounts and depository transactions.

- Stay updated on evolving SEBI and depository directives regarding KYC, Demat, and client data protection.

5. Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management:

- Lead, train, and mentor a high-performing operations team.

- Resolve escalated client tickets related to Demat accounts, KYC rejections, and transfer issues.

Required Candidate Profile:

- Industry Experience: 5 - 9 years of experience in DP and KYC operations specifically within a Discount Broking firm.

- Technical Knowledge: Deep working knowledge of CDSL and/or NSDL portals, back-office broking software, and KRA/CKYC platforms.

- Regulatory Expertise: Hands-on understanding of SEBI guidelines, PMLA rules, e-KYC/VKYC norms, and depository regulations.

- Tech-Savvy: Strong appreciation for product automation, digital onboarding funnels, and API-driven operational workflows.

- Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical ability to resolve operational bottlenecks and handle complex DP cases.

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Commerce, or a related field. NISM certifications (NISM Series VI - Depository Operations) are highly preferred.
