About the Role:


The Sr Closer Financial Advisory Services will be responsible for coordinating and executing syndicated loan trade settlements in both primary and secondary markets. The role requires close interaction with counterparties, administrative agents, and internal teams to ensure the timely and accurate settlement of complex financial transactions.


The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the trade lifecycle, syndicated debt markets, and financial instruments, along with a high degree of accuracy, analytical skills, and a proactive approach to issue resolution and process improvement.


Key Responsibilities:


Trade Settlement & Operations


- Coordinate the end-to-end settlement of primary and secondary syndicated loan trades, including par, distressed, and new issue transactions.


- Liaise with counterparties, administrative agents, and clients to schedule and close trades efficiently.


- Process various loan-related activities such as drawdowns, paydowns, rollovers, conversions, amendments, corporate actions, and repricing events.


- Draft and review loan trade documentation including trade confirmations, transfer documents, and funding memos, especially for non-electronic settlements.


- Manage and verify Standard Settlement Instructions (SSIs) before closing a trade.


- Handle audit confirmation requests and ensure adherence to all client standards and internal protocols.


Financial Control & Risk Management


- Identify, investigate, and resolve cash breaks, trade discrepancies, and P&L variances to maintain accuracy and control.


- Strengthen operational processes to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with internal standards and client SLAs.


- Maintain audit-ready documentation and ensure all settlements comply with LSTA/LMA market standards.


- Contribute to process audits and risk mitigation initiatives.


Stakeholder & Client Management


- Partner effectively with global internal teams, counterparties, and agents to ensure seamless settlement execution.


- Provide high-quality client service, ensuring transparency and timely resolution of settlement-related issues.


- Maintain strong communication and working relationships across operational, compliance, and finance teams.


Process Improvement & Collaboration


- Participate in working groups and projects aimed at improving process efficiency, automation, and quality control.


- Proactively identify process gaps, suggest enhancements, and implement workflow optimization measures.


- Collaborate with cross-functional and global teams to promote best practices and consistent service delivery.


Key Requirements:


Education & Experience


- Degree in Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field.


- 2-4 years of relevant experience in Loan Operations, Trade Settlement, Investment Banking, or Financial Services.


Domain Expertise


- Strong understanding of loan and financial products such as Term Loans, Revolvers, Letters of Credit, and Delayed Draw Loans.


- Familiarity with LSTA and LMA guidelines (preferred).


- Hands-on experience with LoanIQ and ClearPar platforms; exposure to SyndTrak and similar systems is advantageous.


- Comprehensive knowledge of the trade lifecycle and the functions of Front, Middle, and Back Office teams.


- Awareness of US and European banking standards and settlement practices.


Technical & Analytical Skills


- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.


- Strong analytical and reconciliation skills with the ability to handle large datasets.


- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and data validation skills.


Behavioral & Soft Skills


- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for effective coordination with global clients and stakeholders.


- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.


- Self-driven, disciplined, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.


- Committed to maintaining confidentiality, accuracy, and operational excellence.


Work Conditions:


Work Schedule: 9-hour shift between 5:30 PM and 3:30 AM (Monday to Friday).

Work Mode: On-site (Work from office mandatory).

Location: Gurugram, Haryana, India.

Holiday Calendar: May align with UnitedLex India, client location, or a hybrid schedule as per operational needs.

Travel: Candidates with a valid passport preferred. Occasional domestic or international travel (a few days to up to 3 months) may be required.
