The Role: Harmonious HR and IR operations at a Brewery level through effective engagement.

About Greep Apple Project:

At United Breweries we have a upcoming landmark greenfield project in Unnao(UP) with an investment of ~INR 900 crores, envisioned as a world-class manufacturing facility equipped with advanced brewing technology, digital integration, and best-in-class sustainability practices. With a planned capacity of 1.3 million hectoliters, the plant will play a pivotal role in strengthening our footprint in North India and catering to growing market demand with enhanced agility and efficiency. Strategically located just 1.5 hours from Lucknow, the facility offers strong connectivity and access to key markets.

Designed to operate at the highest standards of quality, safety, and operational excellence, the brewery will focus on responsible resource utilization and environmental stewardship. It will be a critical part of our supply chain network, enabling faster distribution and supporting long-term business growth.

Key responsibilities:

Recruitment and staffing:

- Handle recruitments at optimal cost at Brewery level, with assistance from HO

- Induction of freshers and lateral joinees to the Brewery

- Provide timely and accurate information for reports and presentations

Performance Appraisals:

- Ensuring annual appraisals on time

- Ensuring Goal setting process is done on time

Statutory Compliance:

- Timely adherence and compliance with various labour laws and other statutes applicable to the factory in the state and at a central level. Zero incident count on compliance-violation.

- Liaison with labour office, factory inspector, PF department, labour welfare board, Panchayats, Municipality, police and other statutory institutions and bodies.

Industrial Relations:

- Monthly meetings with employee representatives to understand and identify issues if any to have harmonious industrial relations at the plant.

- Grievance resolution

- Long term wage settlements to be productivity linked and within the specified PC budget.

- Enter into agreements and negotiate on labour contracts, canteen and housekeeping contracts, ETP contract, etc

Safety:

- Participate in and identify critical safety areas in order to approach zero-incident work zone in terms of accidents, injuries, etc.

- Corporate Social Responsibility activities at Brewery level as per and within defined areas

- Productivity enhancement initiatives with manufacturing team

- Preparation of and control of personnel budget, variable costs, etc
