Role Summary:
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced professional to lead the end-to-end operations of our Yarn Manufacturing Unit. The ideal candidate will drive production excellence, cost optimization, people development, and sustainable practices in alignment with business vision.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management:
- Lead daily plant operations covering spinning, maintenance, utilities, quality, and logistics.
- Ensure achievement of production targets, efficiency, and cost metrics.
- Monitor and optimize raw material usage, waste control, and process improvement.
People Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of department heads and supervisors.
- Drive a high-performance culture through continuous training and employee engagement.
- Ensure safe, compliant, and positive work environment across the unit.
Strategic Planning & Execution:
- Develop short-term and long-term operational strategies in line with business goals.
- Lead automation, digitization, and lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Collaborate with corporate functions (HR, Finance, Supply Chain, Projects) for effective integration.
Quality & Compliance:
- Ensure zero-defect culture and adherence to quality benchmarks.
- Implement and sustain ISO, TPM, Six Sigma, and other relevant systems.
- Ensure full compliance with legal, statutory, and environmental regulations.
Cost Management:
- Drive cost reduction programs across operations.
- Monitor budget utilization and identify areas of savings and process efficiency.
Desired Profile:
- B.E./B.Tech in Textile Technology or Mechanical/Electrical Engineering. MBA is a plus.
- 1520 years of experience in spinning/yarn manufacturing with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong technical expertise in ring spinning, open-end, compact yarn, etc.
- Proven ability to lead large teams and manage complex plant operations.
- Exposure to world-class manufacturing practices and systems (TPM, Lean, Industry 4.0).
