Job Overview:

We are looking for a talented Business Analyst with expertise in Hadoop technologies and a strong background in the banking domain.

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions, ensuring optimal use of data resources to drive banking operations and decision-making.

As a Business Analyst, you will work alongside cross-functional teams to gather requirements, analyze data, and contribute to data-driven decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities:

- Gather and document business requirements related to banking operations, including data processing, reporting, and analytics needs.

- Analyze and interpret large volumes of data using Hadoop and related technologies to uncover insights that support business objectives.

- Collaborate with data engineers and developers to translate business needs into technical specifications.

- Design data models and optimize existing data structures to improve data quality and accessibility.

- Facilitate meetings and workshops with stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.

- Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure that solutions meet business and regulatory requirements.

- Monitor and report on project progress, addressing any issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.

- Educate stakeholders on Hadoop technology and its applications in banking.

Key Skills & Competencies:

- Strong knowledge of Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, Hive, Pig, Spark, etc.) and its application in data analytics.

- Experience with data mining, data modeling, and data visualization tools.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong communication skills, capable of presenting complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.

- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the banking or financial services domain.

- Proficiency in Hadoop technologies and a solid understanding of the banking industry.

- Experience with SQL and data visualization tools (e., Tableau, Power BI).

- Understanding of banking regulations and compliance standards.

- Strong project management skills and experience in Agile methodologies.
