Position title : ETS Process and Technology Manager – Warehousing  Function : Business Operations  Reports to : ETS Business Operations Director  Location : Bangalore  Main accountabilities :  Relationship / Customer Management & Governance  - Builds long-term relationships with functional stakeholders, jointly managing integrated functional and IT plans.  - Understands the needs of both the function served, and the ETS in the context of the overall business strategy.   - Provides accurate information to senior stakeholders for optimisation of the cost and quality of service.  - Responds to customers’ queries and complaints. Ensures that corrective action is taken by own organisation and by the customer organisation.   - Ensures initiatives follow the governance processes and investment choices are made by the correct governance groups (IPIX, and Ops Exec), with relevant and accurate information.  - Act as ambassadors in the understanding and implementation of the new global ETS organisational model.  Demand Management  - Understand business objectives and help to draw up requirements specifications and high level business requirements..  - Works with the function to develop a true rolling 8-quarter plan of IT demand for the function.  - Ensures that projects follow the defined funnel process, that all necessary documentation is available at the required systems (Clarity)  - Ensures the requirements are compiled to enable correct resources and services demand planning.  - Ensures that demand planning is performed with all necessary internal organisations and IT suppliers.  - Ensuring priorities, opportunities and concerns are correctly fed into the Global and Regional Boards for consideration.  - Liaises with the necessary IT functions in order to ensure that global or regional strategies are followed..  - Plans and manages the high-level cost of projects, services and changes falling into the functional area.  Delivery of the Program  - Overall accountable for the technical delivery of the projects on time and budget witling relevant portfolio  - Leads the IT components of the project / program through involving relevant internal functions, service providers and suppliers.  - Advising on project and programme governance, assist in setting up relevant working groups and steering groups.  - Ensures that realistic project and quality plans are prepared and maintained and tracks all activities against the plan, providing regular and accurate reports to stakeholders, as appropriate.  - Monitors costs, timescales and resources used, and takes action where these deviate from agreed tolerances  - Work closely with the GEO IT directors and Regional IT teams to activate and deliver programs in each regional and MCOs  - Identifies, assesses and manages risks to the success of the project & actively participating in all phases of the project.   - Manages the change control procedure and gains agreement for revisions to the project(s) from project sponsors.  - Assist in setting up mechanisms by which benefits can be delivered and measured, and plans to activate these mechanisms at the required time.   Continuous Improvement  - Deliver harmonisation, operational effectiveness and measurable improvement through the design and delivery of process and system solutions that generate value for the business  - Capture, build and share internal and external best practices  - Support training and testing where appropriate and educate extended user base on solutions as required  - Support Level Zero Cluster Organizations  Process Expertise  - Design effective end-to-end process solutions to deliver the Function’s business strategy and policy  - Manage and participate in process improvement projects, ensuring the smooth integration of new business processes and tools with organisational structure and culture.  - Assess the implications of new processes on both people and organisation and identify the activities necessary to ensure a smooth transition to new processes & tools.  - Assess change requests and create clarity of business process requirements   - Monitor and ensure process compliance - work with stakeholders within Unilever and Service Providers and the wider business to ensure the service is working as desired  - Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of emerging process and technology trends and developments in areas of interest to the organisation   - Support training and testing where appropriate and educate extended user base on solutions as required  - Create and maintain process knowledge to be made available professionally to the business  KEY SKILLS:  - A strong and self confident influencing style, being able to make an immediate impact with suppliers and customers.  - Ability to inspire confidence in delivery, a strong service focus (project and operations).  - Strong business awareness, understanding the broader context in which IT delivery has an impact on overall business performance.  - Can assert IT functional control and requirements at the same time as meeting business functional requirements.  - Good understanding of the role of IT in a modern business, and organisational trends in the market effective its evolution  Education, Essential Skills & Experience  - Strong Techno-Functional experience of 5+ years  - Business analysis experience  - Portfolio management or account management experience   - Broad experience of delivering IT projects and services in a multinational Regional and Global context  - Strong appreciation of the processes and challenges facing the relevant function being partnered (Logistics and IT).   - Good knowledge & experience in warehouse management processes & systems  - Global stakeholder management  - Excellent business communication skills  - BE / B.Tech with full time MBA from premier institutions  Desired Skills & Experience  - Experience of managing large external service providers delivering projects and support  - Experience of Logistics  - Business Partnering experience  - Work in Customer focused department / area of the business.  - Basic Financial knowledge  - Process design and modeling  - Work with ARIS
