About The Business
We offer a broad spectrum of services, encompassing Equity Fundraising (PE, Pre-IPO, Secondaries, Block Deals), Debt Solutions (Structured, Project Finance, Special Situations), M&A (domestic and cross-border), and strategic Corporate Advisory. Our clientele includes PE & Credit Funds, FIIs, DFIs, AIFs, Family Offices, and major corporates in India and the UK - leveraging our global reach and deal-making prowess.
Role Purpose
The incumbent will spearhead the 'Client Coverage' team, focusing on strengthening relationships with corporates and investors while driving origination and execution of complex investment banking transactions. The role provides exposure to a diverse range of deals including structured finance, project finance, M&A, equity fundraises, and capital market transactions across sectors.
Job Location
The vacancies are based at our Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, and Noida offices respectively.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Client Coverage & Relationship Management
- Serve as the senior liaison for corporate clients, delivering high-quality relationship management.
- Originate new business by understanding client strategies, industry dynamics, and capital requirements.
- Collaborate with senior bankers to shape and execute relationship strategies aligned to client growth.
- Ensure seamless coordination across product and sector teams for integrated client service delivery.
Origination & Transaction Advisory
- Develop and present tailored financing and strategic solutions in collaboration with sector/product teams.
- Lead the preparation of client materials including pitchbooks, company profiles, and financing proposals.
- Identify opportunities for M&A, equity/debt issuance, and restructuring based on financial analysis and market benchmarking.
Deal Execution Leadership
- Drive execution of complex transactions: prepare information memorandums, support due diligence, coordinate with third-party advisors, and ensure compliance with risk/legal protocols.
- Review and validate financial models, valuation analyses, and investor presentations.
- Oversee deal timelines and ensure transparent client communications throughout.
Investor Management
- Build and maintain relationships with PE/credit funds, onshore and offshore GPs and LPs.
- Identify investor mandates and match suitable proposals and transactions.
- Manage end-to-end investor interactions to ensure successful deal placement.
Sector & Market Intelligence
- Develop deep expertise across relevant sectors, acting as a thought partner to clients.
- Monitor macroeconomic, regulatory, and competitive developments affecting clients.
- Share regular insights on sector outlooks, capital markets, and potential inorganic opportunities.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field; MBA/CFA preferred
- 15+ years of overall experience, with 10+ years in investment banking, corporate finance, or client relationship leadership
- Demonstrated experience in managing teams/verticals and investor coordination
- Proven track record in client coverage and execution of complex transactions
- In-depth knowledge of local regulatory frameworks and global financial markets
- Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-pressure, dynamic environment
