About Role:
We are looking for a highly experienced and driven candidate to join our Investment Banking team, with a core focus on deal from structured finance, project finance, M&A, Equity fund raise to capital markets deals across sectors. This individual will play a key role in managing day-to-day execution, and directly engaging with clients and stakeholders throughout the transaction lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Deal Execution:
- Lead transaction execution across M&A, equity, and debt deals, working closely with internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage and guide analysts/associates, ensuring high-quality output across financial models, pitch materials, and transaction documentation.
- Drive the preparation of key materials, including:
a. Confidential Information Memoranda (CIMs)
b. Investor presentations
c. Valuation models (DCF, LBO, precedent transactions, trading comps)
d. Internal committee memos and management presentations
- Conduct and review due diligence processes, liaising with clients, lawyers, consultants, and other advisors.
- Act as a key point of contact for clients during execution, ensuring smooth communication and timely deliverables.
- Manage transaction timelines, regulatory requirements, due diligence, and closing processes.
- Provide real-time updates to senior bankers and clients on progress, key risks, and deliverables.
- Lead efforts in creating transaction structuring scenarios and financial impact assessments.
- Coordinate across internal legal, compliance, and risk teams to ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines and internal protocols.
- Monitor transaction timelines, regulatory and compliance requirements, and help resolve deal execution issues as they arise.
- Contribute to internal process improvement and knowledge sharing across the team.
Client Engagement & Relationship Management:
- Support and at times lead client meetings and strategic discussions, working directly with C-suite executives, CFOs, and business owners.
- Develop deep sector knowledge to add strategic value during deal discussions.
- Work closely with clients to gather data, respond to queries, and provide ongoing strategic guidance throughout a transaction.
Strategic Contribution:
- Work closely with senior bankers in shaping client strategy, identifying business development opportunities, and refining execution approaches.
- Stay abreast of market trends, regulatory developments, and sector-specific dynamics that may impact deal structuring or client objectives.
- Contribute to origination initiatives by helping to prepare pitch books and strategic marketing materials as needed.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 6-9 years of relevant experience in investment banking, M&A advisory, corporate development, or Big4.
- Strong academic background in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related discipline. MBA, CA, or CFA designation is a plus.
- Proven deal experience across multiple sectors and sell-side transactions
- Advanced financial modeling and valuation expertise; ability to independently build and review complex models.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfort in client-facing roles.
- Deep understanding of transaction mechanics, legal documentation, and capital markets dynamics.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and experience with data rooms
