Role Overview:

We are looking for experienced analysts to support sector research, financial analysis and investment banking deal origination. The selected candidates will be responsible for researching assigned industries, identifying potential transaction opportunities, analyzing companies and preparing research and pitch materials to support business development and mandate execution.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct sector and industry research to identify market trends, growth drivers, key players and emerging business opportunities.

- Track industry developments, IPOs, fundraising activities, mergers and acquisitions, and secondary transactions.

- Identify and map companies with potential requirements for equity fundraising, debt financing, pre-IPO funding, acquisitions or stake sales.

- Build and maintain databases of companies, promoters, investors, financial information and key decisionmakers.

- Analyse company financial statements, business models, valuations, capital structures and funding requirements.

- Conduct comparable company analysis, comparable transaction analysis and other relevant financial assessments.

- Prepare company profiles, sector reports, opportunity notes, financial analyses and pitch presentations.

- Support senior team members in identifying prospective clients, company outreach and developing investment banking mandates.

- Maintain an updated pipeline of potential opportunities and track the progress of identified transactions.

- Develop sector expertise and provide actionable research to support business development and transaction opportunities.

Eligibility Criteria:

- 1 - 3 years of relevant experience in investment banking, deal advisory, equity research, credit research, credit rating or valuation.

- Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, corporate finance and business analysis.

- Working knowledge of financial modelling, company valuation and comparable company or transaction analysis.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

- Strong analytical, research and report-writing skills.

- Ability to interpret financial and industry data and identify potential business and transaction opportunities.

- Good written and verbal communication skills.

- High attention to detail, professional integrity and the ability to handle confidential information.

- Preferred Qualifications: Graduate or postgraduate degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics or Management. CA, CFA or MBA in Finance will be an advantage.

Role-Specific Experience:

- Infrastructure and Technology: Experience in sector research, financial analysis, company mapping or investment banking advisory.

- ECM - Industrials and Renewable Energy: Exposure to IPOs, pre-IPO transactions, equity fundraising, company valuation or investor presentation preparation.

- Secondary Transactions: Exposure to stake sales, block deals, investor identification or buyer - seller matching.

- Consumer and Healthcare: Experience in industry research, financial analysis, credit assessment or advisory, preferably within the relevant sector.
