Key Responsibilities:
- The Senior Product Manager will be the technical and market expert for a portfolio of interconnect and cable solutions.
- This role involves driving the product strategy from concept to end-of-life, working closely with engineering, sales, and manufacturing teams to ensure market success and revenue growth.
- Product Strategy & Roadmap: Define, develop, and maintain the product roadmap for interconnect and cable solutions, incorporating market research, competitive analysis, and customer feedback.
- OEM Engagement & Influence: Act as the primary technical interface for Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) accounts.
- Leverage strong technical knowledge to influence design-in specifications, ensure product fit, and drive customer adoption.
- Go-to-Market Execution: Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop compelling value propositions, pricing strategies, and collateral.
- Support key product launches and sales cycles with technical expertise.
- Technical Expertise & Support: Provide deep technical guidance to sales teams and customers on complex interconnect challenges, material specifications, performance characteristics, and industry standards.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Serve as the central hub of communication between Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Sales to ensure products are developed on time, meet quality standards, and align with market needs.
- Mentorship & Development: Mentor junior team members on product management best practices, technical knowledge, and effective customer engagement strategies.
- Performance Monitoring: Analyze product performance, sales data, and market trends to identify opportunities for growth, rationalization, or necessary pivots in the product line.Qualifications / Experience
Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field is required.
- An MBA or advanced technical degree is a plus.
Experience:
- Minimum of 7+ years of progressive experience in product management, technical sales, or applications engineering within the electronics, semiconductor, or component manufacturing industry.
- 5+ years of direct experience with interconnect technologies, cable assemblies, connectors, or related electromechanical components is essential.
- Proven track record of successfully managing a product portfolio and driving revenue growth with OEM customers.
- Experience working with global, cross-functional teams and international supply chains.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong technical knowledge of interconnect & cable solutions: Deep understanding of signal integrity, power delivery, material science (e.g., polymers, metals), IP ratings, and relevant industry standards (e.g., USB, PCIe, Ethernet, or industry-specific protocols).
- Customer focus with ability to influence decision makers at OEMs: Proven ability to build credibility with engineering, procurement, and management at large OEM accounts and translate their technical needs into profitable product requirements.
- Analytical & problem-solving mindset with results orientation: Highly proficient in using data (sales figures, market analysis, technical specs) to make strategic decisions, quickly diagnose technical issues, and deliver measurable business outcomes.
- Ability to work independently and cross-functionally: Self-starter who can manage complex projects and deadlines without constant supervision, while effectively collaborating with diverse internal teams across different functions and geographies.
- Strong team collaboration and mentoring skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; capable of fostering a positive team environment, coaching junior colleagues, and leading through influence
