Unifi Capital - Compliance Officer

Role Overview:

Unifi Investment Management LLP is an IFSCA-registered Fund Management Entity based in GIFT City (wholly owned subsidiary of Unifi Capital which manages $2.1Bn in assets). We currently manage and advise three investment funds across our GIFT City and offshore platforms.

The Compliance Officer will be responsible for supporting the regulatory compliance of Unifi Investment Management LLP and the funds managed/advised by it. The role will primarily cover IFSCA and other applicable Indian regulatory requirements.

The individual will also work closely with the Head of Operations and provide support across fund operations, investor onboarding and regulatory reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

- Monitor compliance with applicable IFSCA regulations, circulars and KYC-AML guidelines, including requirements applicable to the FME and its funds.

- Track regulatory developments and own the implementation and translate changes into actionable internal policies and controls.

- Provide operational support in areas such as subscriptions and redemptions, transaction documentation, NAV oversight, investor reporting and maintenance of fund records.

- Proactively identify compliance gaps, evaluate regulatory impacts, and implement corrective and preventive actions.

- Assist on other operational and governance matters relating to the FME and its funds.

Qualification and Experience:

- Professional qualification or an eligible postgraduate qualification, in accordance with IFSCA requirements.

- 4 - 6 years of relevant experience in compliance, fund operations, asset management, alternative investment funds or financial services.

- Exposure to IFSCA/SEBI regulations is mandatory.

- Strong ability to independently work across compliance and operational responsibilities.

- The candidate should satisfy applicable IFSCA fit-and-proper, experience and certification requirements.
