Why this role exists
Vansun has interests across Auto (91Wheels), Astro (91Astro), Fintech (Drivio), and Media (Unicorn Tech Media) businesses. We're building a small "reserve task force" of sharp, entrepreneurial generalists who can drop into ambiguous but important problems. We need individuals with the horsepower and hunger to drop into complex problems, break them down, take calculated risks, and ship outcomes that move the business forward.
What you'll do
1. Tackle ambiguous problems: Quickly scope an issue, break it into workstreams, run small experiments, define the outcomes we need to hit, and get your hands dirty in the process.
2. Making messy data useful: Clean unstructured datasets, spot business levers, and point leaders to the next sensible action. You should be able to define what we need to do and why, and work with everyone on the "how".
3. Be a part of Execution: Map and rewire processes, spot failure point, write, test, and systematize new SOPs. Drive follow-through to closure, not just recommendations.
4. Write to decide: Distill options, risks, and recommendations into clear memos. Your audience may be frontline ops or the CEO.
5. Use AI responsibly: Use new tools to research, analyze, and present; keep an audit trail. Know when and how AI adds value. Show deep understanding, not blind trust.
6. Own follow-through: Take personal accountability for your outputs, timelines, and the outcomes. Close all loops: no hand-offs, no dropped balls.
7. Illustrative problem: Clean a leads dataset and build a city prioritization; instrument a lightweight dashboard with key metrics that we need to track; launch and audit call transcripts; make a QA rubric, assess and track; write a handoff SOP with a micro-GTM and define the success metrics. Fix problems along the way.
You'll thrive in this role if you have
1. 3-5 years' experience in high-ownership roles OR failed founder/high-growth startup builder. You've carried outcomes, not just tasks.
2. Risk-taker and Builder: You experiment, seek unconventional paths, and have run projects where stakes and ambiguity were high. Bonus: Led teams or businesses (even small).
3. Numbers & logic craftsman: Fluent with Excel/Sheets/data. Comfortable critiquing stats and drawing business action from numbers. Bonus: Python/SQL proficiency.
4. Sharp, curious learner: You self-initiate, update your knowledge, read widely (tech, business or otherwise), and regularly pursue new skills or tools.
5. Positive, energetic, and disciplined: Your attitude energizes teams and you persist through highs and lows. You keep standards steady: no roller coaster delivery.
6. Good communication, high clarity: You aren't a showman, but you convey your thinking and conclusions plainly, especially when the answer isn't obvious.
7. Self-development at the core: You're relentlessly focused on your growth, aspirations, and have a pattern of setting and demanding more from yourself.
8. Sportsperson, hobbyist, or side-project builder (optional but valued): Commitment to mastery outside work: sports, games, music, code, writing, etc. treated as an asset.
9. Values: Bias to action, low ego, direct, honest, persistent.
Compensation & growth
Highly competitive package with performance-linked bonuses. Strong, ambitious progression path to Venture Builder / Associate PM / Strategy Lead within 18 months based on outcomes.
Location & schedule
Onsite in Gurgaon. Standard 09:30-18:30 at office; flexibility when work demands.
