Area Sales Manager - West Region
Description:
Job Objective & Key InteractionsSales & Revenue Management- Achieve zonal revenue targets across product categories and territories.
- Forecast and track zone-wise sales performance on a monthly/quarterly /yearly basis.
- Implement strategies to improve market penetration and drive growth.
Dealer & Channel Management- Identify, onboard, and nurture high-potential dealers and channel partners.
- Monitor dealer performance and ensure adherence to brand and business standards.
- Resolve dealer issues promptly and strengthen channel relationships.
P&L Ownership- Own and manage the Profit & Loss statement for the zone.
- Optimize cost structures, drive profitability, and monitor sales expenses.
- Analyze financial metrics to improve operational and fiscal efficiency.
Business Development- Identify white spaces and new business opportunities within the zone.
- Launch new products or categories with a go-to-market strategy.
- Build competitive intelligence and adapt strategies accordingly.
Team Leadership- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of Sales Executives.
- Set clear goals, review performance, and support training initiatives.
- Foster a high-performance culture focused on results and accountability.
Reporting & Insights- Provide regular performance updates, market insights, and competitor analysis to senior leadership.
- Ensure the adoption of CRM tools and data-driven decision-making across the sales team.
Skills/Knowledge- Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential preferably dealt / handled Entrepreneurs (As Dealer / Channel Partners) and Corporate Leadership / Founder Driven People and filled the bridge for both the sides
- Prior working experience within in Start-ups or similar environment, will have added advantages.
- Should be willing to work in dynamic and changing environment.
- Good understanding to work on ERP / CRM / MIS tools is required.
- Ability to explain numbers with proper analysis and justification.
Education/Experience- Professionally qualified having Post Graduate Diploma / Degree from well-regarded institutes in Sales / Marketing
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience within 2+ in managing Regional P&L Business driven roles.
- Evaluate team bandwidth and capability gaps; define optimized workflows to improve coordination and accountability.
- Identify and mitigate bottlenecks across supply chain, planning, and manufacturing operations.
- Establish clear review mechanisms, performance dashboards, and progress tracking for ramp milestones
