Pricing Strategy Manager The Pricing Strategy Manager - would be responsible for defining pricing policy & frameworks. They would be responsible for ensuring the right price perception for Udaan in the relevant customer's mind through regular feedback. They would drive higher RGM - through benchmarking actions, promotions, slab pricing, analytics & price elasticity understanding. They would also bring in the relevant understanding of Food / FMCG business trends & where the market seems to be heading in consultation with the Category leads. Key Responsibilities : Portfolio Shaping : - Breaking up the entire assortment into relevant segments / portfolios - depending on their importance to the customer - Ensuring benchmarking against the identified competitors to 'market relevant pricing' on the most critical portfolio - Ensuring Right Pricing on the non-critical portfolio to ensure overall margin goals for the business are met Pricing Policy : - Tweak Pricing Policy by Market x Category basis the margins at play & what is the 'right to win' for our offering & need in the customer basket - Build frameworks for Buy Sell vs DTR to ensure maximum top-line & bottom-line by extracting efficiencies from each source - Work on Perception Article List- for each market - how to identify - measure the share & salience, how it changes over time as prices move up & down - Work closely with city teams to ensure Udaan's right pricing perception in market, keep tab on market pulse Policy Effectiveness : - Track the KPI shifts basis the policy defined & the intended target KPI's for the business - Work closely with City / Category teams to broaden the customer width through pricing actions - Measure the effectiveness of Promotions & the right investment needed to deliver intended KPI's - Ensure clear & detailed understanding of Pricing Policy & its intended goals with internal customers while ensuring the right perception for the customer. - Roll out and stabilize pricing initiatives - e.g. Ladder Pricing, QPS etc. - Work regularly on measuring Price Perception through multiple sources & take relevant actions on Pricing Policy to improve effectiveness Analytics : - Customer & category insights - understanding basket, frequency & how to drive profitability - Provide relevant customer insights into Category teams to aid Brand / buy-sell decisions - Promotions - Performance vs Plan & how to get build more effective promotions with City / Category teams - Build models around Price Elasticity & categories on which promotions / investment should be done to build maximum customer connect - Develop clear frame-works on top-line vs bottom-line vs perception score trade-offs for business, so the agreed goals can be achieved consistently Educational Qualifications : MBA - Tier 1 Colleges (IIM/XLRI/NMIMS/FMS/MDI Gurgaon/IMT Ghaziabad) Experience: 5-7 Yrs into Pricing Strategy, Stakeholder Management
