Head of Direct Sales (Digital D2C - General Insurance Company )

- Client is a leading general insurance provider in India, committed to delivering innovative and customer centric insurance solutions.

- We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Head of Direct Sales to lead our digital Direct-to Consumer (D2C) sales efforts via our website.

Position Summary:

- The Head of Direct Sales (Digital D2C) will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to drive online sales growth, improve conversion rates, and enhance the overall customer experience on our digital platforms.

- This role requires a unique blend of insurance industry knowledge, digital marketing expertise, and strong leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy Development and Execution:

- Develop and implement comprehensive digital sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.

- Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities.

- Collaborate with product teams to optimize the digital product portfolio for online sales.

Digital Sales Management:

- Own and optimize the end-to-end digital sales funnel, from customer acquisition to policy issuance.

- Implement and refine lead generation, nurturing, and conversion tactics.

- Develop and manage digital sales KPIs, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.

Website Optimization:

- Work closely with the IT and UX teams to continuously improve the website's user experience and conversion rate.

- Implement A/B testing and data-driven optimization strategies.

- Ensure the website effectively communicates product value propositions and facilitates easy purchase decisions.

Team Leadership:

- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing digital sales team.

- Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and customer-centricity.

- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including marketing, product, customer service, and technology.

Digital Marketing and Customer Acquisition:

- Oversee digital marketing initiatives to drive qualified traffic to the website.

- Develop and implement customer segmentation and personalization strategies.

- Optimize customer acquisition costs across various digital channels.

Analytics and Reporting:

- Leverage data analytics to derive actionable insights and inform decision-making.

- Develop comprehensive reports on digital sales performance, customer behavior, and market trends.

- Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership.

Compliance and Risk Management:

- Ensure all digital sales processes comply with regulatory requirements and company policies.

- Work with the legal and compliance teams to address any regulatory changes affecting online sales.

- Implement fraud prevention measures in the digital sales process.

Innovation and Technology Adoption:

- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices in digital insurance sales.

- Evaluate and implement new tools and technologies to enhance the digital sales process.

- Drive innovation in the use of AI, machine learning, and data analytics for sales optimization.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree required MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.

- 10+ years of experience in digital sales, e-commerce, or related fields, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

- Strong understanding of the Indian insurance market and regulatory environment.

- Proven track record of driving significant growth in digital sales or e-commerce.

- Experience in implementing and optimizing digital marketing strategies.

- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

- Strong leadership and team management skills.

- Proficiency in digital analytics tools, CRM systems, and marketing automation platforms.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
