About the Role:


We are seeking an experienced and strategic Manager Inventory Management to lead and optimize our inventory operations. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in inventory control, demand forecasting, supply chain coordination, and team leadership. This managerial position will play a crucial role in ensuring inventory accuracy, minimizing stockouts and excess stock, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the inventory lifecycle.


Key Responsibilities:


- Lead and manage the inventory management team to maintain accurate, efficient, and timely inventory control processes across all warehouses and distribution centers.


- Develop and implement inventory strategies aligned with business goals to optimize stock levels, reduce carrying costs, and improve order fulfillment rates.


- Oversee demand forecasting activities in collaboration with sales, production planning, and procurement teams to ensure alignment of inventory with market needs.


- Monitor and analyze inventory KPIs such as turnover rates, stock accuracy, shrinkage, and obsolescence to identify areas for improvement.


- Establish and enforce inventory policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.


- Drive root cause analysis and corrective action plans to resolve inventory discrepancies, variances, and stock-related issues.


- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including procurement, logistics, production, and finance to enhance inventory visibility and improve supply chain efficiency.


- Utilize inventory management systems (IMS) and ERP software to automate and streamline inventory processes, ensuring data accuracy and real-time reporting.


- Lead regular cycle counts, physical inventories, and audit preparations to maintain stock integrity.


- Manage vendor relationships and coordinate with suppliers to optimize lead times and delivery schedules.


- Coach, mentor, and develop inventory management staff, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and operational excellence.


- Prepare and present inventory reports and analysis to senior management, offering insights and recommendations for strategic decision-making.


- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in inventory management to drive innovation and competitive advantage.


Required Qualifications:


- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a

related field.


- 5+ years of progressive experience in inventory management or supply chain roles, with at least 2 years in a managerial capacity.


- Strong knowledge of inventory management principles, demand forecasting, stock replenishment, and warehouse operations.


- Proficiency with inventory management systems, ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics), and data analytics tools.


- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex inventory data, identify trends, and implement effective solutions.


- Experience managing teams and driving performance in a fast-paced environment.


- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across

functions and with external partners.


- Strong problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.


- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under tight deadlines.


Preferred Qualifications:


- Advanced degree or certification in supply chain, inventory management, or related disciplines (e.g., APICS CPIM, CSCP).


- Experience in lean inventory practices and just-in-time (JIT) inventory management.


- Familiarity with automation tools and digital transformation initiatives in inventory control.
