We are seeking a Chartered Accountant with minimum 10 years of post-qualification experience, including mandatory NBFC/Bank experience, to lead the Financial Reporting function. The role will be responsible for financial reporting, RBI compliance, consolidation, robust financial controls, automation, and analytical business support.
The incumbent will ensure accurate, compliant, and insight-driven reporting while strengthening governance, internal controls, and reporting automation in a regulated NBFC environment.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Lead preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual standalone and consolidated financial statements in compliance with Ind AS, Companies Act and RBI regulations.
- Ensure robust financial controls, governance framework, and accuracy of general ledger reporting including review, investigation and resolution of inconsistencies.
- Drive NBFC regulatory compliance including IRAC norms, provisioning, ALM reporting, CRAR and RBI returns.
- Own monthly business unit reporting, MIS, and analytical review including variance analysis, balance sheet scrutiny, and income/expense fluctuation analysis.
- Strengthen internal financial control systems through process documentation, quality assurance reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead statutory, internal, tax and RBI audits including coordination, closure of audit observations, and support to the Parent Korean entity for audit closure requirements.
- Respond to financial due diligence queries from lenders and external stakeholders in a timely and structured manner.
- Support in ERP implementation, reporting automation, system enhancements and technology-enabled financial process improvements.
- Provide strategic financial insights, ad-hoc analysis, management reports and decision-support dashboards.
- Lead and mentor the reporting team while collaborating cross-functionally with Treasury, Secretarial, business, and senior leadership.
Required Experience:
- CA with minimum 10 years post-qualification experience with mandatory NBFC / Bank exposure.
- Strong hands-on experience in Ind AS financial reporting, consolidation and RBI regulatory reporting.
- Proven experience in building and strengthening robust financial controls and governance frameworks.
- Significant exposure to ERP implementation, system migrations, automation of reporting processes and technology-driven finance transformation.
- Strong analytical and technical accounting capabilities including balance sheet scrutiny and financial investigations.
- Experience in handling statutory/internal/RBI audits and lender due diligence processes.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex reporting environments with high accuracy and compliance standards.
